CHILLER 1 REPORT

Date: 13 Dec. 2019

Site: Eko Hotels Limited

Chiller 1: Model: 30GX-358-A0504-PEE—

Serial: 12V511768

Chiller 1 Circuit A:

 Chiller 1 Circuit A Compressor A1 & Compressor A2 are under replacement Process By

Mandilas.
Chiller 1 Circuit B:

Chiller 1 Circuit B Compressor B1 and Compressor B2 are working.

Following are Circuit B Readings:

Chiller # 1 Circuit B Readings

1 Circuit Running Load 100%
2 Entering water temperature 11.6 c
3 Leaving water temperature 10.3 c
4 Suction pressure 193 kpa
5 Discharge pressure 1220 kpa
6 Oil pressure compressor B1 1151 kpa
7 Oil pressure compressor B2 992 kpa
8 Oil pressure differential Compressor B1 606 kpa
9 Oil pressure differential Compressor B2 599 kpa
10 Economizer pressure 413 kpa
11 Saturated condensing temperature 50.4 c
12 Saturated suction temperature 0.5 c
13 Discharge temperature 70 c
14 Super heat 19.5 c
15 Expansion valve position 100 %
16 Compressor motor temperature B1 69.5 c
17 Compressor motor temperature B2 40.1 c
18 Compressor B1 current 131 amps
19 Compressor B2 current 132.3 amps
20 Compressor sound B1 Ok
21 Compressor sound B2 Ok
22 Filter Dryer status Ok
23 Out-door air temperature 28.7 c

FINDINGS:

1. Compressor B2 oil pressure is low (992Kpa), Compressor internal oil filter

needs to be replaced. Low oil pressure can cause wear and tear in the
mechanical section of the compressor.

2. Suction Pressure is lower than normal (240Kpa), Resulting Lower Saturated

Suction Temperature. And higher superheat, and expansion valve is always
fully open. Refrigerant top-up is required in Circuit B.

RECOMMENDATIONS:

Major maintenance needs to be done on the chiller as most of the chiller parts
are Rusted and full of dust which leads to partial contacts and malfunction of
sensors leading to malfunction and damages to Compressors.
