2.3 LOAD CALCULATION


2.3.1 DEAD LOADS
Steel Self-Weight
The actual member sizes and structure geometry was modelled as space frame by ETABS software. The
software recognizes the respective structure steel weight by generating the “SELFWEIGHT” command
feature. The weight of the steel structure is based on concrete density of 24 kN/m3.

Floor and Ceiling Dead Load:


The following dead loads are loaded as shown in figure 2-1:

Dead Load for Floor Finish = 1. 0 kN/m2


CHB Walls (Both face are plastered) = 3.1 kN/m2
Roof = 0.50 kN/m2

2.2.2 LIVE LOADS


Floor live load was loaded as one two way floor load on floor beams while the stair live load is loaded as
uniform load on the supporting beam.
Floor Live Load : 1.9 kN/m2
Roof Live Load : 1.0 kN/m2
