 Stories can be written in:

 First person: I / WE
 Third person: HE/ SHE /THEY

 The story must consist of:

TITLE
Here you set the scene: describe the place, time and
INTRODUCTION the characters. (We ask when? Where? Who?) You do not
describe events

Here you develop the story. The events are in the


MAIN BODY order they happened. (What happened?)

Here you have the end of the story and you describe
feelings, comments and reactions. (How the problem
CONCLUSION was solved).

 Tenses

 PAST SIMPLE: To talk about MAIN EVENTS or MAIN ACTIONS.


 PAST CONTINUOUS: To talk about an ACTION IN PROGRESS.

 Connectors

USE CONNECTORS

To show sequence First – Firstly – Next– Then – Finally
