School Days Vs College life
From kindergarten to college, student passes
through different experiences and life events. Each
phase has its own flavour and features. In each of
those stages, I have learnt something new and met
new people. Both, in a way or another, were part in
changing my life and shaping my personality. The
person I was three years before is totally different
from the new me whether in terms of daily routine
or life perspectives.
First, I believe that any routine is highly effected
by the surrounding environment. Whenever I
remember school, I directly link it to home, warmth
and comfort. Whereas, college days remind me just
of misery and exhaustion. Back then when I was in
school, I didn’t think at all about whether I can find
what to eat or not because I know that mom would
take care of that. However, now, when I am at
college, I have just myself to count on whether I buy
fast food, go to the campus contine, or cook by
myself. Not just feeding matters but also sleep

routines have changed. In campus, especially for

hyper vigilant people like me, it’s almost impossible
to have a peaceful sleep. I lost tranquillity in sleep
the day I started going to campus.
Second, the life near parents’ shelter is
drastically different from the life where one has just
himself to count on. When I used to be in school,
my parents paid much attention to the people I
hang out with. Hence, I knew that whenever there
is something wrong, my parents would alert me.
However, now, I am in charge of my life. It is me
who have to select properly the people I want to
live with the rest of my college years. This adds a
considerable credit to life experiences. Moreover,
unlike school days, when in college, I am in charge
of the budget given to me. I used to be very
wasteful, but now, I give consideration to every
penny I spend so that I will not be in need later on.
To conclude, life has never been a stable ride.
What I learnt from my years of studying is that
change is a life cornerstone which sooner or later I

will confront it. Therefore, I should learn to

appreciate what I have and try to be optimistic
about what is coming.
