DELOITTE is one of the largest professional service provider in the world. The functional

areas include auditing, consulting, financial advisory, taxation, risk management, etc.

They work with member firms all across the world. Over 150 nations are served by the

member companies. Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu Limited, a UK-based private business, is the

parent company of the member firms. Currently there are over 2,86,000 employees engaged with

the company. The revenue of

the company for the fiscal year 2021 has also increased by 5.5% reaching a total of

50.2 billion USD.

As the Pandemic struck the whole world, every other company was threatened by it but

Deloitte addressed it as if it were any other problem to be solved.

It helped that our company and Deloitte clients had been planning to move to a new way of

working—one that was digital, cloud-based, flexible, more sustainable, and data-driven. All

that COVID-19 did was to accelerate the inevitable.

Recruitment - Sarkar

Even with the spreading of covid-19 No major change was made in the recruitment procedure
except for Shifting the personal interviews and onboarding of employees to an online platform.
All the other steps involved in the procedure were already carried out online.

Payroll & Workforce management - Vats


No change in salaries However, a cap was set on all new promotions, and they were not in line with
earlier salary bands

The company has devised people-first strategies as well like reducing the number of shifts, rotating
people in different shifts for better social distancing, making sanitisers, face masks, and medicines
available at all sites, as well as extending the hardship allowances and life/medical insurances to
maintain business continuity and support the community.
Benefits and Rewards - Banga
Deloitte considers employees as the core of the company and hence catering to their needs is a high
priority for the company. Employees enjoy several perks and benefits being a part of this company.

But Due to onset of the pandemic, Increments were stopped, Bonus percentage was reduced, and
bonus was given in 2 instalments, No. of paid leaves was slightly reduced. There was no change in
the Sabbatical program and Parental or maternity leave policies didn’t change as well. But alongside
a few negative changes they focused over the aspect of health and Increased Health-care coverage
and medical facilities to assure the safety of its workforce.

Training and workshop – Rithik Shadija


o The Deloitte Academy focuses in corporate business training tailored to the needs
of individual clients.
o Risk management, internal control, internal audit, accounting and finance, soft
skills, and industry-specific trainings are some of the subjects covered in training.
o Professionals interested in gaining hands-on learning experience through
moderated talks, business games, and simulations should take these courses.
o Subject-matter specialists provide the Academy trainings, bringing practical
insights from real-world audit management and significant transformation project
execution.
 As training and development is perpetual. Deloitte launched Cura, a digitally enabled
learning platform that helps workforces build on their strengths and empowers them
with breakthrough content in a digital environment. It has specially curated pathways
for workforces to learn about emerging technologies, build key skills, and take
ownership of their development.

Accelerated digital HR – Rithik Shadija


In the pandemic Deloitte started focusing on the human resource more than ever. Deloitte started
using numerous technology tools for collaboration to: • Hold virtual meetings, video conferences
including town halls using online polling platforms to engage employees with real-time voting. •
Leverage virtual workspaces white boarding functionalities to encourage collaboration and
brainstorming

All of this creates an office-like atmosphere using several software applications which helps in
increasing morale of the employees working from home.

Talent Acquisition – Daulani


Deloitte’s talent management approach incorporates an integrated process that helps
design a talent program and the related infrastructure for attracting and developing critical
talent, their right positioning in the organization as well as ensuring their commitment. 

THE talent management consultants continuously revaluate the talent needs and align them
