Hi there,

As you’re well aware, CVE-2021-44228 continues to evolve, and we want to make sure we are
supporting you in your efforts to reduce risk in your applications. In order to provide
comprehensive coverage of risk present in your applications and environments, we added the
ability to test for Log4j vulnerabilities in your applications. We are so excited to share the
introduction of a new Out of Band Injection Attack Module in AppSpider which includes the
Log4Shell vulnerability.

We have docs here if you’re interested in using this new functionality. As always, don’t hesitate
to reach out to your Customer Success Manager or anyone on the Rapid7 team with any
questions.

Best,
The Rapid7 AppSec Team
