 Wake up and prepare for a brand new learning experience .
 Have a short exercise/meditation/bonding with family.
Introduction (What I Need to Know)
 Begin by telling the learner that in this module, he/she will know how to define and
identify primary and secondary sources of information.
 Ask the learner to prepare his/her module, answer sheet/s and pen.

Pre assessment (What I Know)


 Instruct the learner to answer the first activity on pages 6-7.
Ask him/her to answer the questions to the best of his/her knowledge by writing the letter of
the correct answer on his paper.
Remember: If the learner needs assistance, guide him/her in answering the activity.

PROCEDURE
1. Review/Motivation (What’s In)
 For this activity, the learner will look for different sources of information found in the
Word Hunt. He will write his answers on his paper.
Remember: This activity will prepare the learner for the current lesson.

2. Initial Activity/Discovery (What’s New)


 Have the learner read the dialogue on page 9.
For this activity, let the learner answer Comprehension Questions that will lead him/her to
discovering more about the topic to be discussed.
Remember: You may read together with the learner and portray the characters in the dialogue.

3. Discussion of the Topic (What Is It)


 Read the definition of Primary Sources and Secondary Sources of Information found on
pages 10-11. Read the examples provided and try to remember as many as you can.
Remember: Instruct the learner to read the definition of Primary and Secondary Sources carefully.
Help him/her remember as many examples as possible for each kind.

4. Enrichment Activities (What’s More)


 This part of the module will determine if the learner understands the lesson. Have the
learner answer activities on pages 12-16.
Let the pupil identify if the sources of information are primary or secondary.

Remember: Remind him/her to read the directions carefully. Let the child practice answering the
activity on his/her own.

5. Generalization (What I Have Learned)


 The learner is expected fill out the blanks with the correct word/s that s/he learned from
this lesson.
Remember: You may help the pupil in this part of the module so that he/she may be able
complete the thought asked.
6. Application (What I Can Do)
 The learner must apply the knowledge he/she has learned about the topic by answering
the activity.
 On page 17, help Leo and Boni identify the activities that may provide them firsthand
information by putting a check mark inside the box.
Remember: In this part, allow the learner to answer the activity by himself/herself.

7. Assessment (Post assessment)
 Instruct the pupil to answer the questions on pages 18-19 of the module by writing the
letter of the correct answer on his/her paper.

 Remember: Motivate the learner to answer the activity on his/her own.

8. Additional Activity
 Have the learner answer the additional activity on page 19.
 Guide him/her in conducting an interview with a business owner who may be a relative or
a neighbor. Observe health and safety protocol in doing so.
Remember: At the end of this module, prepare some words of encouragement and inspire your child
to continue believing in himself/herself.
