Topic 1: Mobile Apps Development for Teachers

Our 21st century learners engage themselves in the different application,


that’s why this webinar is very helpful because it helps us educators equip
ourselves in changing needs and delivery of education through technology. The
Virtual INSET for teacher provided us information for education that support
enhance class instruction.

Faced with the pandemic, this discussion is very helpful for us teachers to
support student learning. The speaker shared to us brilliant ideas and strategies on
how we deliver our lessons in most effective way, she also shared helpful new
teaching strategies through the use of mobile applications to since this can
improvise the learning and teaching pattern with creative and intuitive digital tools.
This apps will allow teachers and learners to learn new things with more ease
because they don’t have to got o the library for books. There are different
challenging tasks, puzzles, and educational games in this app that we can introduce
to our learners.

Topic 2: Game-Based Learning using Minecraft Education Edition

Minecraft is educational because it enhances creativity, problem solving, self-


direction, collaboration, and other life skills. According to the speaker, Minecraft is
an open world sand castle game-that is, a game that allow players to interact in a
non-linear way with the environment. They emphasize that the point of Minecraft
is to survive which includes building, acquiring inventory and exploring. This
activity is supplemented by many creative aspects, making the game fun to play so
this is potentially great for the mind of our learners.
Topic 3: Interactive PowerPoint Plugins and Microsoft Windows Plugin for 2ist Century
Professional Development Program with Microsoft Education
Microsoft Office 365 for Productivity-Mail Merge Teachers.
One of the education writer Jonelle Cox defined that a 21 st century
teachers “An effective 21st century educator is someone who is aware of the
career opportunities for students in the coming years, and always advocating
toward forward thinking to ensure that no student will left behind “so given
this definition as a 21st century teacher we always look forward to the future
and one of the characteristics of the 21 st is we have the mastery of technology
in the classroom meaning we know what technology in the classroom can
truly help transform our students in education. We also know the best tools
and how when we can use them. As a teacher, we we must be able to
adoptable on the needs of our learners, we must be able to adopt the
curriculum and requirement and be able to use our imagination to teach in
creative way. And there are different edtech tool that we can use to make our
delivery of lesson more engaging and motivating and one of the most useful
productivity tools use by teachers is a poerpoint presentation. Powerpoint is
one of the effective tool to present materails in the classroom and encourage
in learning. That’s why the speakers presented Interactive Powerpoint
Plugins and one of this is the classpoint, ZoomIt, Ispring

 Classpoint can also plugged into powerpoint and helps us teachers to


build strong live engagement with students and improve their learning
outcomes.
 Ispring
 ZoomIt is a screen and annotation tool for technical presentations that
include application demonstrations. The importance of this application
can help us teachers to make annotation in operating system.
 Mail-Merge let us create a batch of documents that are personalized for
each recipients like document types: letters, email, certificates,
envelope labels and directory

1: Google Educators Group and Professional Development Program

This topic discussed by Ma’am Mry Mazano. Many applications is new to some
teachers but the facilitators explained it very well and tell how it works, it proves
how this application can help impart knowledge. The information Technology play
a significant role in the delivery of education in the New Normal Education. The
different ways to make our teaching more exciting and engaging. Technology also
very important in our part as teachers especially in this situation because we
teachers, were not able to conduct face-to-face interaction with our learners and
with the use of technology we can reach them and we can also deliver our lessons
online.

“Technology can be a powerful tool but alone it’s not Transformative”, it also
means that there a lot of technologies we can use to our work but technology alone
is not enough , it takes us teacher to make these learning experiences stick. It takes
a teacher to achieve learning outcomes with technology for our students.

Topic 2: Mental Health Amidst Pandemic: Conditions and Coping Strategies

This topic provides useful information to help develop initiatives that promote
teacher well-being. The COVID-19 pandemic has led teachers to an unpredictable
scenario where the lockdown situation has accelerated the shift from traditional to
online educational methods. This pandemic disease has carried out many
consequences that may affect people’s general health. The virus itself creates
personal situations in which, human emotion such as fear, worry, panic, anxiety,
depression-related distress can appear commonly among people. With the
awareness of these mental health risks, we can work towards coping with this
challenging situation and reduce potential impact on our mental health. Here is the
list of coping strategies to help us get through these uncertain times.

Therefore, it is important for us to continue looking after our physical and mental
health. This will not only help us in the long-term, it will also help us to fight
COVID-19 pandemic. We teachers we need to be fully equip to help our students
regarding with achieving their dreams and as well as to reach their success despite
the trials they go through.

Topic 3: Basic Motion Graphics using Hit film Express for the Instructional
Video Development

This topic was being discussed by sir Adriyel M Santiago, his topic focuses on the
basic concepts of motion graphics using hit films express. Motion design provides
guidance to the users. The way we use graphics nowadays aren’t just limited to
adding motion to the pictures. It is an addition of audio and other special features
to these have enabled the users to have a great viewing experience especially in
delivering our lessons. Because nowadays, kids watching educational videos to
understand the concept taught in schools better is a common practice. They prefer
watching animated videos and they also understand the concept easily with them.
This also helps them to remember the concept better. Motion graphics is getting
increasingly popular among kids. The use of motion graphics saves time, money
and many other resources.

Moreover, Video learning has positive outcomes on multiple levels,


including increased motivation and deeper learning, and can specifically impact
student’s ability to facilitate discussions.

Video lesson helps learners improve their critical thinking through viewing
and listening. Because of the need of learners, we teachers should to be updated
with the different video editing applications in order to produce quality video
lessons. Through this, it help increase engagement of learners which in turn helps
boost achievement because If students are interested in material, they will and
remember it better.

Topic 4: Music Production using Note flight for Instructional Video


Development

According to the speaker of this topic, note flight is an incredible tool that allow us
to engage in Creating, Responding, Performing and Connecting in our classroom
every day. This is a powerful full-featured application to edit, display and play
back music notation in a standard web browser.
Today’s tech-savvy students live in a world powered by internet, social media and
rapid information. This highly connected world is constantly evolving and the
future success of our learners depends on their ability to thrive in this creative and
collaborative environment. We teachers, we need to reinforce creativity and
collaboration by utilizing online learning in our teaching. And this time, using
online tools like Noteflight, we now have access to the environment where every
student has a creative software available anywhere, anytime. This opens up a world
of possibilities for both learning to create and perform music.

Topic 5: Be Internet Awesome

This topic was discussed by teacher Weng, sir Adrian and ma’am Via. The
aim of this program is to encourage parents, educators and kids alike to exhibit all
the traits that comprise “awesome” online specifically, by learning about the 5 core
topics:

 Be Internet Smart: share with care, be mindful of one’s online reputation.


 Be Internet Alert: Don’t fall for fake.
 Be Internet Strong: Secure secrets, understand privacy and security.
 Be Internet Kind: It’s cool to be kind. How to deal with and online
harassment.
 Be Internet Brave: when in doubt, talk it out, report inappropriate content.

To make the most of the internet, kids need to be prepared to make smart
decisions. Be Internet Awesome teaches kids the fundamentals of digital
citizenship and safety so that they can explore the online world with confidence.

We teachers are actually the most critical component of the ecosystem. Our role to
our student is very substantial especially be introducing technology to them and
what are the Do’s and Don’ts when pupils internet as an aid to their learning.

We can be awesome in using internet, and also remembering the line from the
video presented that “Beware by being aware, keep your learning safe and don’t
fall for fake and this is a great reminder not only for us teachers but also to our
learners and member of the family who is using internet to be vigilant and be
careful enough in using internet. Always use the power of the internet to spread
positivity and be kind of using it.
