world. The origins of science can be traced back to roughly 6000 to 1200
BCE in Ancient Egypt and Mesopotamia. Science is an intellectual and
practical activity that entails the methodical observation and
experimentation of the structure and behavior of the physical natural world.

Science is the methodical pursuit and application of knowledge and

understanding of the natural and social worlds, using evidence-based
techniques. It tries to build information about the natural world by
experimenting and/or observing hypotheses. As new ideas and facts emerge,
this knowledge is accessible to questioning and adjustment. Scientific
knowledge is trustworthy since it has been proven.
