16. While contractor/supplier submit the shop drawings, Please mention as NOTES that submission of following is
required:
Methods statement must be included within submittal & shall confirm the installation & operational features
(i-e Point of Power Supply / Control of Lights).
Scaled, Machine Room Layout (with Plan & Sectional details of Motor, Controller & other related
components.) clearly indicating the locations (with Mounting Installation details) of Circuit breakers /
Disconnect Switches for each lift.
While production of shop drawings, Mention Top & bottom clearance & overall travel distance of car within
dwg. Include installation details for Car , guide rails, buffers & other hoistway components.
GFCI protected outlet required in the machine room, car and pit.
Original Catalogues, Part No., Model No., Brand Name, Country of Origin, Quantity, circuitory details,
including source of procurement (for maintenance perpose) and coordinated installation details for all
components to be submitted. Also include the following:
a) Electrical Schematic diagram for Normal & Emergency Power.
b) Hall Call Push Buttons (With single-tone gong with adjustable volume)
c) Car Position indicators (with Travel Directional Arrows)
d) Travelling Cables & connections for car power, control, light, HandSet Telephones etc.
e) Certifications for controller shall be submitted in detailed submission.
f) Car Ventillation e.g Electric blower with rear vents.
Electrical Schematic diagram for Normal & Emergency Power Supply for lift shall be laminated and installed in
Lift Machine room and same to be installed in ELectrical room.
Samples for Travelling cables & demonstration for each item recommended before procurement.
Specialist supplier to ensure minimum 2 years warranty to BR & further to client covering Elevator controller,
Operating Equipments & devices. Include the list of Spares needed.
Final Approved Electrical Schematic Diagrams (Normal & Emergency Power Supply for lift) / Layouts shall be
Metallic Framed with Glass / Plastic & shall be mounted on machine Room Walls & ELectrical room)
Matching with finishes is subject to architect Engineer Approval.

that rotates the sheaves. Geared elevators can travel up to 500 feet per minute (fmp), gearless can travel as
fast as 1200 fpm.
