While the bar chart demonstrates the percentage of adults suffering from overweight
or obese problems from 1965 to 2015, the pie chart shows the weight range of adult
population in the latter’s year.

We can see that there was a steady rising trend in the proportion of overweight people
during this period, as well as obesity and overweight are main features of adult population in
2015.

As can be seen from the bar chart, the % of adult who are overweight or obese rose
gradually throughout the period. It increased by about 3 to 5% every ten years. For instance,
between 2005 and 2015, there was a growth from approximately 62% to 65%.

It is clearly evident that the % of adult who suffered from obesity and overweight was
just under 35% and a little over 30% respectively. The proportion of people with severely
obese problems which has a negative impact on their health is 6%. By contrast, healthy or
underweight features were found in 29% of adults.

An interesting side note between these two charts is the same total proportion of obese
and overweight adult, just around 65%.
