If you like add a simple edgeing on pocket side of the inner layer with
help of tapestry needle.
Pattern for Strap –
Make 12chs, pass the ch through middle st of small side of the piece,
again pass the st through next st, turn, sc in each sts, 4sc in beg st, sc in
each sts of other side of the chain till last. As you reached the base piece
again pass the st through next st. Turn, sc in each sts, 2sc in middle 4sts
of rounded edge. Repeat 2more times, finish off doing sc in each sts(last
line). Fasten off, cut thread.

Make strap for outer layer with same pattern. Make a round of reverse sc
all around outer layer including strap.
Place the outer layer on interfacing fabric, draw the outline and cut the
piece. (It should be little smaller then outer layer)
Cover the interfacing piece with fabric and sew all around, leaving the
strap.
Secure the piece over outer layer with help of pins then sew all around,
leaving strap.
Fix both parts of magnetic snap to both parts of the purse. To fix the
snaps pierce the 1st part of snap through crocheted piece, put the other
part over. Press the snap properly.

Sew both the parts. It will be easy to start sewing from one end of the
smaller side going all way around strap and the body of the purse and
leaving one big side open for pocket. Use all left over threads for
stitching. Weave thread ends with tapestry needle.
