JEFF BEZOS
Jeffrey Preston “Jeff” Bezos is an American technology
entrepreneur and investor. He has played a role in the
growth of e-commerce as the founder and CEO of
Amazon.com, an online merchant of books and later of a
wide variety of products and services, most recently video
streaming. Amazon.com became the largest retailer on
the World Wide Web and a model for Internet
sales. Bezos’ other business interests include aerospace
and newspapers. He is the founder and owner of the
privately-funded aerospace developer and manufacturer
Blue Origin, founded in 2000. In 2013, Bezos purchased The Washington Post newspaper. A number
of other business investments are managed through Bezos Expeditions.
SERGEY BRIN
Sergey Mikhaylovich Brin is aRussian-born American
computer scientist, internet entrepreneur, and
philanthropist. Together with Larry Page, he co-founded
Google. Today, Brin serves as President of Google’s
parent company, Alphabet Inc. Brin immigrated to the
United States with his family from the Soviet Union at the
age of 6. He earned his bachelor’s degree at the
University of Maryland, following in his father’s and
grandfather’s footsteps by studying mathematics, as well
as computer science.
After graduation, he moved toStanford University to acquire a PhD in computer science. There he
met Page, with whom he later became friends. They crammed their dormitory room with inexpensive
computers and applied Brin’s data mining system to build a web search engine. The program became
popular at Stanford and they suspended their PhD studies to start up Google in a rented garage.
LARRY ELISON
Lawrence Joseph “Larry” Ellison is an American
businessman who is the co-founder of  Oracle
Corporation and was CEO from its founding until
September 2014. He currently serves as executive
chairman and chief technology officer of Oracle. Oracle
became a successful database vendor to mid- and low-
range systems, competing with Sybase andMicrosoft SQL
Server. Ellison has donated up to 1% of his wealth to
charity and has signed The Giving Pledge. In addition to
his work at Oracle, Ellison has had success in yachting,
through Oracle Team USA. He is a licensed aircraft pilot who owns two military jets.
AMANCIO ORTEGA
Ortega is a Spanish fashion businessman and founding
chairman of the Inditex fashion group, best known for its
chain of Zara clothing and accessories retail shops. He is
currently the second richest man in the world with a total
fortune of $74.4 billion. He started manufacturing textiles
through a small family company in 1963 before cofounding
Zara with his ex-wife Rosalía Mera (d. 2013) in 1975. As
he expanded his empire, which today includes Zara,
Massimo Dutti, and Pull&Bear, he caught the retail
establishment by surprise, limiting advertising, expanding
aggressively, and controlling much of his own supply chain. Ortega keeps a very low profile and, until
1999, no photograph of Ortega had ever been published and is known for his preference for a simple
lifestyle.
MICHAEL DELL
Michael Saul Dell is an American business magnate,
investor, philanthropist, and author. He is the founder and
CEO of Dell Inc., one of the world’s leading sellers
of personal computers (PCs). In 1998, Dell founded MSD
Capital L.P. to manage his family’s investments.
Investment activities include publicly traded securities,
private equity activities, and real estate. In 1992, aged 27,
Michael Dell became the youngest CEO of a company
ranked in Fortune magazine’s list of the top 500
corporations. In 1996, Dell started selling computers over
the Web, the same year his company launched its first servers. Dell Inc. soon reported about $1
million in sales per day from dell.com .
RICHARD BRANSON
Sir Richard Charles Nicholas Branson is an English
business magnate, investor, and philanthropist. He is best
known as the founder of Virgin Group, which comprises
more than 400 companies. Branson expressed his desire
to become an entrepreneur at a young age. At the age of
sixteen, his first business venture was a magazine called
Student.
In 1970, he set up a mail-order record business. In 1972,
he opened a chain of record stores, Virgin Records, later
known as Virgin Megastores. Branson’s Virgin brand grew rapidly during the 1980s, as he set up
Virgin Atlantic and expanded the Virgin Records music label. In March 2000, Branson was knighted at
Buckingham Palace for “services to entrepreneurship”. Branson has guest starred, usually playing
himself, on several television shows, including Friends, Baywatch, Birds of a Feather, Only Fools, and
Horses, The Day Today, a special episode of the comedy Goodness Gracious Me and Tripping Over.
MARK ZUCKERBERG
Mark Zuckerberg is an American programmer,
philanthropist, and Internet entrepreneur. He is the
chairman, chief executive, and co-founder of the social
networking websiteFacebook. Together with his college
roommates and fellow Harvard University students
Eduardo Saverin, Andrew McCollum, Dustin Moskovitz,
and Chris Hughes, he launched Facebook from
Harvard’s dormitory rooms. On December 1, 2015, they
announced they would give 99% of their Facebook
shares (worth about $45 billion at the time) to the Chan
Zuckerberg Initiative.
CARLOS SLIM
Carlos Slim Helú is a Mexican business magnate,
philanthropist, and investor. From 2010 to 2013, Slim
was ranked as the richest person in the world. He is
known as the “Warren Buffett of Mexico”. He derived his
fortune from his extensive holdings in a considerable
number of Mexican companies through
his conglomerate, Grupo Carso. Slim is the chairman
and chief executive of telecommunications companies
Telmex and América Móvil. Slim always knew he wanted
to be a businessman and began to develop his business
and investment acumen at a young age.
WARREN BUFFETT
Warren Edward Buffett is an American magnate,
philanthropist, and investor. Buffett is the most
successful investor in the world. He is the chairman,
CEO and largest shareholder of Berkshire Hathaway and
is consistently ranked among the World’s wealthiest
people in the world. Buffett is often referred to as the
“Wizard of Omaha” or “Oracle of Omaha,” or the “Sage
of Omaha,” and is noted for his adherence to value
investing and for his personal frugality despite his
immense wealth. Buffett is a notable philanthropist,
having pledged to give away 99 percent of his fortune to philanthropic causes, primarily via the Gates
Foundation.
BILL GATES
Topping in the list of top 10 richest entrepreneurs in the
world with a net worth of $76 billion is Bill Gates. No
doubt, he is always included in the list of top 10
successful entrepreneurs in the world. He is an American
business magnate, philanthropist, entrepreneur,
programmer, and investor. Gates is one of the best-
known entrepreneurs of the personal computer revolution.
During his career at Microsoft, Gates held the positions of chairman, CEO, and chief software
architect, and was the largest individual shareholder until May 2014. Gates has authored and co-
authored several books
