Crack Inspection
The spindle was mag-particle/black light examined. Cracks were indicated in the columns of the
spindle.

Disposition
The cracks in the cross over will need repaired. The O-ring fit will need to be re machined after
crossover cracks are repaired. There are two cracks in the columns. The spindle will either need
replaced or the cracks repaired. If the cracks are repaired the bores will need welded and re-
machined. After the cross over column are repaired the O-ring fit on the primary side will need
machined round. One of the bolt holes for the spindle is damaged and will need repaired.
