Corporate Social Responsibility of Apollo Hospital
APOLLO ANTHEM
Life is a journey on this road, we never know what lies ahead and yes we want the future to be
free from anxiety. To wipe all tears of suffering and sadness from every face, helplessness too
would end and pain would melt away. We hold so strong, won't lose our ground. Forward we'll
move on and on. To strive to heal this world from disease, we’ll work to find new ways.
Staying true to our anthem, we at Apollo Hospitals have always believed in creating a world free
from pain.
The commitment of Apollo Hospitals to social responsibility and the pursuit of societal good
through inclusive healthcare inspired us towards fulfilling India’s colossal rural healthcare needs.
We focus on bringing quality healthcare within the reach of all people regardless of their
geographic location or economic status. Apollo Hospitals aspires to be a socially responsible
corporate citizen delivering superior and sustainable value to all.
The vision of Dr. Prathap C Reddy, the Founder of Apollo Hospitals Group is what translates into
the mission of the Apollo Foundation, which is, "to create meaningful interactions with people of
our society, and help enhance their quality of life in every way we can."
We have always strongly believed in pioneering social initiatives that help surpass barriers and
make a real difference. With an aim to upgrade the standards of healthcare across various
regions, we have started several impactful programs.

They cover:
Rural Development
Healthcare
Research in Healthcare
Education, Skill Development and Vocational Training
In addition to this, Apollo Foundation also works extensively in the areas of Pediatric Cardiology,
Cancer Care, Cardiovascular Risk Awareness, Hearing Impairment, Medical Awareness
Campaigns, Distance Healthcare and Disaster Relief Programmes. With organizations like SACHi,
The Billion Hearts Beating Foundation, SAHI, CURE, DISHA, REACH we aspire to make timely and
quality healthcare available to all.
TOTAL HEALTH
Under Rural Development, our focus has been on providing total holistic care for the entire
community. And in this regard, "Total Health", a not for profit organization was set up.
Thavanampalle Mandal in Chittoor district, Andhra Pradesh was identified to implement all the
activities under "Total Health". Initially, the activities were carried out in Aragonda Gram
Panchayat but are now extended to the other Gram Panchayats of the Mandal as well, impacting
more than 70,000 lives in the process.
Total Health also aims to provide holistic health care for the entire community starting from birth
through their journey into childhood, adolescence, adulthood and in the later years of their life.
Other activities initiated include providing safe drinking water, extension of sanitation facilities,
setting up of Nutrition Centres, Vocational Training Centres facilitating skill development and
training, Mobile Medical Units - primary & preventive health care including diagnostics,
promotion and revival of rural sport and Yoga, conducting regular health camps and running a
state-of-the-art Primary School, "Apollo Isha Vidhya Niketan", in collaboration with the ISHA
Foundation.

SACHI
Saving A Child's Heart Initiative (SACHi), established in 2002 under the aegis of Dr. Prathap C
Reddy, is presently one of Asia's largest voluntary organizations, dedicated to pediatric cardiac
care and child heart surgery for the underprivileged. SACHi has till date touched over 50,000 lives
and continues to provide its healing touch to all those children who would not have had access
to world class medical facilities had it not been for SACHi.
SAHI
Society to Aid the Hearing Impaired (SAHI) seeks to identify hearing impaired children, mainly in
rural areas, with little or no access to modern medical treatment and help them hear for the first
time. To address this and many more such problems associated with the hearing impaired,
renowned medical professionals at Apollo Hospitals along with a group of concerned citizens
volunteer their services for SAHI.
CURE FOUNDATION
The CURE foundation is an effort to bring cancer care to those who cannot afford it. Cancer
among the poor is often lethal. Due to a lack of information and resources, delays and inadequate
treatment are the norm. CURE extends preventive as well as rehabilitative cancer treatment to
the economically backward. It also aims to spread awareness about cancer, its causes, symptoms
and treatment options.

DISHA
Taking healthcare to the most remote corners of the country making quality healthcare
accessible and affordable for all is the objective of DISHA - a Distance health care advancement
project. This is an initiative partnered by Apollo Hospitals, Philips, ISRO (Indian Space Research
Organization) and the Dhan Foundation. DISHA is a novel telemedicine initiative to provide long
distance healthcare to the underserved populations. It is specifically aimed at providing
healthcare to vulnerable groups at an affordable cost. With this objective in mind, a mobile
Teleclinical van reaches out to areas that do not have access to state of the art medical care.
DISASTER RELIEF
The Apollo Hospitals Group is deeply committed to provide the most timely and efficient
assistance in every possible manner - from medical support to financial aid, whenever disasters
and calamities strike the community. We have always been at the forefront of relief assistance
through a multi-pronged approach, and have pledged men and material towards the relief and
rehabilitation of victims in multiple locations.

NATIONWIDE HEALTH CAMPS FOR WOMEN
As a socially cognizant organization, Apollo Hospitals has undertaken a major initiative of
organizing nationwide free monthly health check camps dedicated towards ensuring the health
of expecting mothers. Following the pledge of 9000 doctors from Apollo Hospitals to dedicate
one day a month to provide healthcare services to urban, semi urban and rural areas of India,
free medical camps are conducted across various locations on the 9th of every month. These
camps are being conducted specifically for pregnant women with active participation by
Clinicians, Nurses and Support Staff from Apollo Hospitals.
