1. M. PHIL PROGRAM (BASIC MEDICAL SCIENCES)

 Sixteen years of Schooling or 4 years education (124 Cr Hr) after HSSC / F.Sc. / Grade 12
 Must pass entrance test (≥ 50%)
 Sindh Domicile
 Those who have Passed GAT-General [HEC (HAT), NTS, and DUHS] are eligible for Entry
Test, otherwise they must clear the GAT section of the Entry test separately.

BIOTECHNOLOGY
Eligibility MBBS/BDS from PMC (former PMD&C) & HEC recognized University with one year
house job.
OR
Four year BS / M.Sc. in 1st division in a relevant discipline of Health & Allied Biomedical,
Chemical and Physical Sciences from HEC recognized University.

BIOCHEMISTRY
Eligibility MBBS/BDS from PMC (former PMD&C) & HEC recognized University with one year
house job.

GENETICS
Eligibility MBBS/BDS from PMC (former PMD&C) & HEC recognized University with one year
house job.
OR

PATHOLOGY; (HISTOPATHOLOGY, MEDICAL MICROBIOLOGY)

MOLECULAR PATHOLOGY
Eligibility MBBS/BDS from PMD&C & HEC recognized University with one year house job.
OR
M.Sc. / BS in Medical Science Technology (1st division) in a discipline of Health & Allied
biomedical sciences from HEC recognized University.

PHARMACOLOGY
Eligibility MBBS/BDS from PMC (former PMD&C) & HEC recognized University with one year
house job.

 One Year House Job.

5. MASTER OF PUBLIC HEALTH (MPH)

 Application for admission in this program must have MBBS from a recognized institution and
one year house job. The individual having 4 years bachelor’s degree in a discipline related to
health sciences or statistics from an accredited institution, approved by Higher Education
Commission of Pakistan can also apply. The fields other then medicine include; biology,
dentistry, nursing, health science, veterinary sciences, psychology, biostatistics. Applicants will
require sending the application form along with academic records, two letters of reference and
brief outline of his/her career goals.

 Valid concern Regulatory Authority Registration Certificate (If applicable)
 Must pass entrance test (≥ 50%)

6. MASTER OF SCIENCE IN BIOSTATISTICS & EPIDEMIOLOGY

(MSBE)

 Application for admission in this program must have a 4 years bachelor’s degree in a discipline
related to health sciences or statistics from an accredited institution, approved by Higher
Education Commission of Pakistan. Such fields include, but not limited to, medicine, biology,
dentistry, nursing, health science, veterinary sciences, psychology, biostatistics, statistics and
mathematics. Applicants will require sending the application form along with academic
records, two letters of reference and a brief outlines of his/her career goals.

 MBBS
 One Year House Job (6 Months compulsory in Medicine and related subjects)
 Two year post-graduate experience after MBBS.
 Valid PMC (former PMD&C) Registration Certificate.

 Post RN BSN with at least Cumulative GPA 2.5
 One Year Diploma in Post Basic
 Specialization from recognized Nursing Institute
 One (01) year’ work experience after Post RN BSN
 Valid PNC License
OR
 4 Years BSN with at least Cumulative GPA 2.5
 One (01) Year internship (bedside care)
 One (01) Year work experience as RN (excluding 01 year internship)
 Valid PNC License

9. MASTERS IN HEALTH PROFESSIONALS EDUCATION, MHPE

 MBBS with one year house job / BDS with one year house job / BS-Allied Health Sciences /
BS Nursing / DPT / Pham-D or equivalent (The pre-requisite qualification must be recognized
by the relevant Authorities i.e. PMC, PNC, PPC etc.)
 Preference will be given to those applicants who have 2 years teaching experience as a faculty
member in a recognized educational institution but not entails mandatory requirement.
 IELTS academic (6.5 band) / TOEFL (600 minimum on PBT, 100 minimum on IBT)
 Valid PMC (former PMD&C) Registration Certificate.

 Must pass entrance test (≥ 50%)

 Doctor of Physical Therapy or Equivalent degree in physiotherapy (5-years)

OR
 BS Physiotherapy (4-years) + Post Professional Doctor of Physical Therapy
(PPDPT)/Transitional DPT (T-DPT) 1-2 Years from HEC recognized University.
OR
 BS Physiotherapy (3-years) +1 year additional course +Post Professional Doctor of Physical
Therapy (PPDPT) / Transitional DPT (T-DPT) 1-2 Years from HEC recognized University.
