The controller itself is the 2nd PMC (PMC2) of the Fanuc Controller. The PMC2 works independent of other
Elements of the Pro.5/Pro.6 Controller. A wide interface to other Pro.5/Pro.6 components allows a high
automation level.
This manual describes only PMC2-Software-specific control-functions of the Jig-Controller, related to the Jig
Coolant.
In order to get a complete description of the Jig Controller Functions, please refer to other Software Control
Specifications of the Jig-Controller:

A couple of functions are prepared as ‘special customer-solutions’. These functions might be explained in
separated documentations.
The Robot Interface description is not part of this manual. Please refer to the manuals for the Robot Interface:

In order to get the complete functionality of each Jig-Controller, information about the hardware-circuits are
necessary:
Explanations about the hydraulic- and pneumatic-lines are not part of this manual. Please contact the
mechanical design group, in order to get information about it.
Explanations about the electric-circuits are not part of this manual. Please contact the electrical design group,
in order to get information about it.
2 Function Overview
Two optional coolant functions are provided, in order to clean the fixture:
The Jig-Cleaning coolant function is provided for an outer cleaning of the fixture via coolant-nozzles.
The Fixture-Cleaning coolant function is provided for the selective cleaning of the fixture (coolant thru the
fixture).
In Robot systems cleaning cycles for both coolant functions (inclusive APC safety door control) can be started
automatically by the robot. (About details, please refer to the Robot documentation.)
By a manual operation button it’s possible to start and stop the Jig-cleaning coolant at stocker side.
By a manual operation button it’s possible to start and stop a fixture-cleaning coolant at stocker side.
Moreover it’s possible to start and stop the coolant inside the work-zone via M-functions.
