CHAPTER V

ANALYSIS

This chapter contains the analysis of data collection and processing. Data
processing carried out is system service request, project charter, work breakdown
structure, expected time using PERT, preceding activities, gantt chart, network
diagram, and critical path.

5.1 System Service Request

In the data processing of the System Service Request section, indicating if


it has been asked for the Executive Management to create a new system where
there are problems but can still be overcome. Application department in the
Executive section where the request was made on November 4, 2021. The
location of the application is PT Adi Citra Sakti at St. Graha Padma B1/27A
Semarang 50149 with contact phone number +62(24)76928891 and email
marketing@adicitrasakti.com.

The problem statement from the applicant is PT. Adi Citra Sakti is an
information technology solution provider company. However, currently work
related to purchasing administration is still done manually, such as project data
collection, purchase orders, payments, calculation and writing of purchases/totals,
and report generation. And service request is PT. Adi Citra Sakti wants to build an
executive information system that is able to provide purchasing information to
support decision making and strategic planning.

5.2 Project Charter

A project charter is a short document prepared for a customer during


project initiation to describe the project and an outline of the work required to
complete the project. Project Name is the Executive Support System where the
Project Manager is supervised by Habibah Rianisa. The customer in this project is
Executive Management. This project starts on November, 5 2021 and ends on
December, 24 2021. The purpose of this system is to make it easier for executives
to access purchasing information in the form of numbers and graphs quickly,
precisely, and accurately which will be used for the decision-making process and
strategic planning.

5.3 Work Breakdown Structure

Work Breakdown Structure is the process of dividing a project into


smaller tasks so that it is easier to manage and to ensure the stages of progress
between tasks. Work Breakdown Structure in the case of PT. Adi Citra Sakti has 3
processes there are planning and analysis, design, and implementation. in the
planning and analysis section there are several sections of the interview with the
purchasing Department of PT. Adi Citra Sakti, analyze the problem, and finally
the requirements collection. The design section includes designing users,
designing databases, finally becoming UI/UX Design. In the implementation
section, there are several activities such as making software programming, testing,
and installation

5.4 Expected Time using PERT

PERT Method is a technique that uses the optimistic, pessimistic, and


realistic time to estimate and calculate the expected time for a particular task.
there are 9 activities where each ET (expected time for the completion for an
activity) has been obtained by the formula. interview and analyze problems takes
1 day, requirements collection, testing, and installation takes 2 days. to design
user, customer, and Vendor Database takes 6 days. to design a database of
purchasing department takes 6 days. UI/UX Design activity takes 7 days. and
finally software programming takes the longest, which is 10 days.
5.5 Preceding Activities

Preceding activities is a sequence that must be done before carrying out


the next activity. In data processing, it can be seen that the first activity is an
interview, after that analyze problems, requirements collection, designing user,
customer, and vendor databases along with the activities of designing a database
of purchasing department. For the next activity UI/UX Design, then making
software programming, testing, and finally installation.
