Job Description

Job title: Quality Control Inspector

Division: Lamination

Reports to: Quality Assurance Manager


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
 In charge of job approval process before mass production begins at Lamination
by verifying substrate material, Adhesive: Hardener mixing ratio and viscosity
as per the job card and Technical Data specification.
 Monitoring and inspecting every laminated roll sample to ensure conformance throughout
the lamination process processes and retaining samples for reference.
 Checking and troubleshooting Lamination defects such as edge blockage, edge
delamination, speckling, telescoping, Low/ high adhesive coating and lamination
Streaks/patches (In waxing monitoring wax gsm coating)
 Conducting online quality checks such adhesive gsm, Oven test, Curl test and all
mandatory tests as per job requirements and recording the results in quality control
form.
 Ensuring process parameters such as roller temperatures are adhered to at all times
during lamination process.(also in waxing)
 Reporting and communicating (shift hand over) to Head of Quality Control and the
rest of the quality team.
 Conducting bond test in order to approve laminated for slitting after curing (using
“QC PASSED STICKER” to approve for slitting.
 Ensuring good housekeeping is maintained in the production floor.
 Perform work related duties as assigned by supervisor.
 Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures.

Skills Requirements:
 Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate within a team set up.
 Excellent computer proficiency (MS Office – Word, Excel )
 Keen sense and attention to fine details.
 Problem solving skills with ability to make decisions based on factual data.
 Must be able to work under pressure, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary team work spirit
 Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed
routines, and standard accepted practices
