the switch to OFF position.
RECOMMENDED BRAKING
The Vehicle Can Be Smoothly Slowed Down Electrically. This Is Accomplished By Simply
Releasing The Accelerator Pedal. Which Then Activates The Vehicle’s Regenerative Braking
Mechanism? This Is An Efficient Braking Mechanism As It Feeds The Energy Lost In Braking
Back To The Battery For Longer Working Cycles.
HYDRAULIC BRAKING
This Constitutes The Standard Braking Where By The Vehicle Can Be Stopped By Pressing Down
The Foot Brake Pedal. (For Vehicles With Hydraulic Braking Systems.)
If The Battery Is Not Fitted In The Equipment Of If The Battery Has Been Run Down To A Voltage
Below The Nominal, The Vehicle Is Unable To Be Driven. In This Situation, The Parking Brake
Has To Release First For Towing The Vehicle Away.

OPERATING BUGGY
BATTERY MODULE
The buggy battery module is rechargeable and a maintenance-free power pack. With proper
charging, the battery will last longer. To achieve good performance do charge the battery at
recommended intervals. Charge battery when the battery charge reaches 20%.
WARNING: Do not plug power chord plug if the charger Port, power chord or AC outlet is wet
Battery
The battery performance is highly dependent upon the condition of the battery. It is
therefore of vital importance to the operation of the vehicle that the battery is maintained
well. The battery should be fully charged every day before the start of work. The following
routine checks are recommended for a better life of the battery.
During periods of prolonged storage, the batteries will need to be fully charged. If a battery is
left in a discharged state, sulphating takes place on and within the plates. This condition is
not reversible and will cause permanent damage to the battery. The charged battery should
be disconnected from any circuit that could discharge the battery. For on-board and
outboard chargers, disconnect the charging harness from the receptacle. The batteries must
be cleaned and all deposits neutralized and removed from the battery tray to prevent
discharge
Electrolyte level
Check at least once a week that the electrolyte level is at the correct level. The electrolyte
specific gravity at 25° C is shown below for the corresponding

50 % 1.180
20 % 1.150
Refilling
Only distilled water should be used for refilling. Refilling should be undertaken only after
the charging has been completed. This is because the
The electrolyte tends to expand during charging and will otherwise run over.
Cleaning
The battery surface must be kept clean. Remove any spilt electrolyte using cloth with
dissolved soda or ammonia and rinse with water. No dust and dirt
The battery must be allowed to deposit on the battery surface. They may carry so-called
leak currents between the poles of the element.
Battery Poles
Maintain clean battery surface and remove any sulphate deposits by filing. Such deposits
may result in considerable loss of voltage. Grease the poles
With acid-free grease and always ensure that the cable terminals are tightened securely
too The battery poles.

MAINTANANCE
The vehicle may become hazardous if maintenance is neglected or improperly performed.
Therefore, a regularly scheduled inspection and preventive maintenance program in
accordance with the manufacturer’s recommendation should be established. Only qualified,
trained and authorised person should be allowed to inspect and maintain the vehicle.
Daily Check
1. Checks the brake and horn.
2. Check if the batteries are fully charged and if the water level is correct in each cell.
Refer to the battery section in this manual for more details.
3. Check foot and parking brake for performance.
4. Check the tyres for pressure, cuts and excessive wear.
5. Check wheels for bent rims, missing or loosing nuts.
12
COMPONENTS & PARTS LIST
1. A thorough overhaul of the vehicle should be made once a year. Lubricate as per
instructions.
2. Check the stub axle spindle for excessive play and grease the hub. Check tightness of
retaining nuts.
3. Check if all the bearings are functioning smoothly.
4. Lubricate the machine as at assembly.
5. Check the oil level in the transmission and top up if necessary. Replace oil after
every 1000 hours of use. (SAE 50).
6. Clean and check brake linings, wear limit 1.5mm.
Drive Motor
The rear axle is provided with a lubricant level check/fill plug which is located at the bottom
right side of the housing. Clean the area around the check/fill plug. Remove the plug using a 13-
mm spanner, the correct level is just below the threaded hole. If the lubricant is to be filled, add
slowly until the oil starts to seep out of the hole. Fit the plug into the threaded hole and tighten
it.
Lubrication Instructions
*Ensure that all contaminated grease is evacuated as new grease is pumped in.
All lubrication and change of oil should be carried out by a service engineer in connection with
the regular service. Regular service is recommended, frequencies are for normal operating
conditions. In corrosive conditions, increase lubrication accordingly.
WARNING: Do not access inner components of the drive motor, gear box. By doing this you
could void the limited warranty
