narrator who takes on the
perspective of the
protagonist- the man. The
omniscience of the
narrator suggests that he
or she has knowledge of
the characters thoughts
as the plot revolves
around his fight with the
jungles creatures, and the
narrator frequently adopts
his viewpoint. He appears
to be a portrayal of a
typical African man living
in the british empires
African territories at the
same time. The man’s
outside description is
limited
corruption, domination,
innocence, colonialism,
trust, self- importance and
revolt run through Jomo
Kenyattas novel “The
Gentlemen of the Jungle”.
The man in the story
repents the individual
africans who were
afflicted by the European
invaders violence and
corruption.
