Personal Biography

Assignment Breakdown

-Why you’ve chosen to be in this course (honesty is the best policy here).

I chose to be in this course because I have been gaming in my computer and Nintendo consoles
for at least many years, and I want to get to know the origins of video games for how the games began
to be favored publicly and in homeplaces. As an independent person, I want to see how I can be able to
make and type scripts, and fix bugs to get rid of the errors that get in our way of the game development,
even if it’s just a minor bug; I cannot ignore it.

I also want to develop a long-awaited cooperative stealth, or FPS Game for my primary interests
in this game, Because I heard that FPS Games are a popular video game genre for shooting your enemies
with your weapons in either Player VS Player, or Player VS Environment. If I want to make an FPS Game,
we need to know all about the weapons and how the bullets, gun mechanics, and reloading works on
this game. Also, we will make sure how realistic this FPS game is, but not too realistic, because that
would ruin the video game logic for an FPS game.

The reason why I want to make a stealth game is because this type of game genre made me so
tense as if I am watching a hitman movie but its simulated in a game. The entire map must be designed
first before we can put NPCs that patrol the map by navigating function script. The detection meter can
be simple for a stealth genre game, but it is confusing for the detection increase/decrease algorithm
depending if the NPC can see the player whether if they are disguised or not. Also, the stealth genre
game also needs a status for players depending on specific rooms for a primary building (e.g. Hostile
zone, Trespassing, Suspicious, etc.), because it wouldn’t be fair if all NPCs saw through the disguises,
even if it’s the citizens.

-What your career aspirations are (they don’t have to be game related).

My career aspiration is to be a computer programmer to write and improvise the codes to make
sure most of the websites function properly for different types of operating systems like windows PC. I
also want to schedule updates every Friday to fix the bugs for issues for computers that get in the
internet user’s way of internet surfing for improving the performance, even if it takes us the long time
for a single or several upgrades.

However, All codes must be tested by ourselves to see if the code is functioning right or has
some flaws to resolve the issues; I may not be a critical thinker, but I must receive help from the crew if I
need to think about how to resolve some flaws. Plus, If our crew is struggling, I need to let our users
know what kind of trouble they’re experiencing for full details so we can do something about it to
troubleshoot this kind of issue the users has been frequently getting trouble.
Also, the hacks, malware, trojan horse, data leaks, and spywares are our natural enemies in our
existence. The cybersecurity field is our best bet to stop every malware, Trojan horse, etc. from
breaching into our servers. I must code the best I can for cybersecurity field so random hacks can breach
into our servers or computers ever again for our internet’s sake. Cybersecurity is our main hope for our
coding security systems to not have errors and have us fix all errors in cybersecurity. If there was one
error, it would still be a problem.

-What your expectations of this course are.

I expect for a short training, warm-up video of video game development before we get to the
main point of our preparations to make a video game. Plus, I require a 30-minute extension time if I get
too worn out when I am going for a test. Also, if I have done bad on test, I request a retake on a test for
a quick recap of what I did after all the modules I have done so far in the schedule. And we need a fair
and quick reminder after the module has been done.

I also want a quick 5-minute demonstration on each module of the topic we are doing for this
schedule because I want to know what we are doing for each module I have to study about and know if
it’s important. Without the demonstration, I find it harder for me to solve the problems for myself and
my notes would be scarce otherwise. The demonstrations should be clear for all of us so that we can
know how to get to the basics.

And we expect a unity access for all of us if we want to start to make a video game. Unity is a
good starting game engine for our development, but I think we should start with the basics in the unity
for the first 3 weeks before we are on our own. For example, we should get to the creator kit as our
starter guide to know the basics before creating our own collaborative project. The Collaborative
Project may sound frustrating to deal with, but teamwork requires leadership to get the job done.
