1.0 Introduction
Many of us are curious about when and how the COVID-19 pandemic will end.
Research continues and broadens through time, and herd immunity is viewed as a potential
solution to curb the spread of Covid-19 which is also supported by the World Health
Organization (WHO). To achieve herd immunity, it is estimated that 60% to 70% of the
world's population must be immune to COVID-19. Vaccines stimulate the body's immune
system to produce antibodies which will help to reduce the risk of infection and the body
develops immunity without first being infected with a disease. Therefore, it lowers the
chances of infection. Through vaccine, we are hopeful to resume our normal lives after we
achieve herd immunity.
