This is a formal response to the advertisement by your reputable office on the Botswana
Guardian newspaper of June 29, 2012 and serves as an expression of interest towards the
advertised position.

I hold a Bachelors Degree in Economics with the University of Botswana. I am currently

employed as a Business Advisor at Local Enterprise Authority (LEA) where one of the
requirements is to Increase credit worthiness and effective market penetration of prospective
clients to the banks and other credit institutions through training, mentoring and preparations of
business plans. All these are critical in evaluating project proposals as well as managing
portfolios after project implementation. Having worked at Botswana Savings Bank as a
business development officer, under Marketing and Business development Division has
sharpened my ability to analyze business performance and implement appropriate measures to
revamp products with diminishing returns to scale.

I have also had the opportunity to be assigned a role of a researcher in a task force that carried
a feasibility study on the hiving off of cash benefit allowances for the Ministry of Local
Government under the department of Social Services. This as well has enhanced awareness on
research matters which is a backbone to an entity such as BDC

Moreover, I have worked at a commercial bank where I monitored loss/delinquencies for all
products and assisted management to identify control weaknesses and recommend remedial
action and best practice without violation of business values. As such I feel I am in a better
position to grow the size and quality of business portfolio hence grow the return on investment
at the set rate. As such I believe I portray strong analytical and negotiations skills which will be
of value to your prestigious organization.
