Investment Professionals Position

Dear Sir/Madam,

My name is Doddy Rachmat, and I’m more than pleased to submit my application for the Investment
Professional position at Capsquare Asia Partners. After doing a little research about Capsquare Asia
Partners, I was convinced that this is the organization I want to be associated with as I progress my
professional investment career further, as I have the kind of analytical focus combined with creative
drive that I believe can be successfully applied in this position and I was looking to secure a stimulating
Private Equity Analyst position within a forward thinking, sustainability and ESG focused firm.

Having worked as an investment banking analyst for almost 3 years in one the best boutique advisory
firm in Jakarta has shaped my capabilities in handling all aspects of sell-side transactions. I rose
through the rank of lead analyst in majority of projects our firm handled, doing the bulk of the leg
work such as preparing the resume and investment memo, creating financial modelling, and handling
communication with various level of management in client’s organization.

I worked in small team of 3-4 people and understand there is a similar structure at Capsquare Asia
Partners team, where I believe the role of seasoned investment professionals is key to achieve the
objectives of the project. During my tenure at the firm, which coincides with Covid-19 pandemic, our
team still managed to complete 10+ advisory deals covering corporate restructuring and debt
refinancing, thanks to the agility and tenacity of our partners, and also the team. I understand how
the traits will help in critical situation, which is why I approach every project with utmost diligence.

Apart from my experience, I hold a bachelor of business administration degree from School of Business
and Management, Bandung Institute of Technology with a focus on Finance. Furthermore, to enhance
my technical knowledge in finance and investment, I enrolled in the CFA program and passed level I
CFA Exam in 2021. I believe with my credentials and previous experience, I can put my knowledge into
practical use in order to drive results for the firm.

Although I’m quite familiar with sell-side analyst role, I understand that the challenges in buy-side role
will be different and that there are still much to learn to be successful in the position. I consider myself
a well-rounded candidate, able to maintain a respectful but approachable attitude towards
management, team member, and clients, and possess the necessary hard skills and soft skills to work
autonomously in a fast-paced environment.
