STATEMENT OF PURPOSE

INTRODUCTION
My name is Amanat Kaur, resident of Punjab, India. I am working as a Senior Administrator with Logic
Computers, Jalandhar from 2018 onwards. That is why, I have decided to learn business strategies and skills for
that, I have decided to pursue Master of Business Administration. I have already completed my previous studies
from India but further, I want to learn in a new and different environment for which I have selected University
Canada West, Canada.

ACADEMICS AND WORK EXPERIENCE

In accordance to my previous studies, I have completed my matriculation from I.C.S.E in 2012 and higher
secondary education from C.B.S.E in the year 2014 respectively. Thereafter in 2017, I completed Bachelor of
Business Administration from Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar.

After the successful completion of my studies, I started to work as an office administrator from 8 Jan 2018 with
Logic Computers , owing to my dedication and hard work for the job I was promoted as Senior office
administrator from 6 Jan 2020 onwards within the same organization

Working with such a reputed firm, now I consider myself motivated to enhance my career and hence I will be
having better opportunities once I complete my MBA . Therefore, I have decided to acquire my higher studies in
Master of Business Administration.

FUTURE PROSPECTS
I could even complete this program from my own country but I have selected Canada for this because I have
already completed my previous studies from India. But now I wish to learn with sophisticated environment which I
believe I can acquire from Canada. I have studied that study from Canada is worldwide recognized. Further, an
international study would be an extra credential for my dream.

This course will help me learn various key business functions globally and the ins and outs of doing
business internationally. I will be able to work in sales and management, human resource, trade, and
development. To be successful these days, one needs to develop a global mindset. Studying business allows
us to understand better how globalization has brought about an increasing interdependence of companies,
markets, people, and information across countries. Business administration's importance is more significant than
ever, whether it be a company thinking about selling abroad, following other organizations that are
internationalizing, or cross-border mergers and acquisitions. It's hard to think of small and medium-sized
enterprises (S.M.E.s) that are not involved in international business.

ENGLISH PROFICIENCY AND WHY CHOOSE MBA

For Canada Study Permit, IELTS being the requirement, So, I appeared for IELTS in the month of Feb 2022
and scored 6.5 overall. I am offered by University Canada West for Master of Business Administration program.
Further, being a technical student I will be pursuing M.B.A.. The program will help me learn importing &
exporting, market research to develop market entry strategies, supply chain management, managing international
environments, legal and financial aspects of international trade practice.

Through Master of Business Administration program I will get a chance to explore the context of strategic
analysis and business decision making, including the impact of social, technical, economic, environmental and
political factors on organizational success. Moreover, I will learn about leadership theories and consider best
practices that may differentiate highly successful leaders from others. I will be engaged in identifying my
leadership styles and potential with a view of enhancing my ability to lead teams, strategic planning and leadership
skills will be developed through the knowledge and application of strategic management tools and processes.

Moreover, the course is split into four tiers that will progressively develop my skill set, until I am able to handle the
most complex problems. Team Activities are an intrinsic part of the MBA, reflecting the need for team skills in
modern business and providing a collegial learning environment.

The courses which I will learn during this program are Managerial Accounting, Business Environment,
Ethics & Strategy, Financial Management, Marketing Management, Human Resource Management in the
Global Environment, Project Management and Strategic Management.

The successful Master of Business Administration could expect to pursue a career in the many lucrative positions
available in either a large corporation or a small business. Canada is also known as a modern, progressive nation
with open-minded citizens. They are a multicultural society with two official languages, English and French, and
are proud of their ethnic diversity. Canadians are widely regarded as friendly, polite, well-educated, interesting
and healthy. After completion of this program, I will be able to:

Respond strategically to business challenges and opportunities

Assess ethical implications of business activities
Develop, implement and evaluate solutions to business problems
Formulate business decisions and systematic analysis that reflects critical thinking
Demonstrate effective skills to collaborate with diverse groups of people

WHY UNIVERSITY CANADA WEST

I have selected University Canada West as it stands among the reputed learning institutions that globally provide
quality education. Studying here would help me in moving up a career ladder with the right guidance and best
resources. In India, in the field of my interest, there are very limited universities like I.S.B., I.I.M., and Narsee
Monjee College of Management Studies, which offer Masters in Business Administration at a comparable cost to
what I will be spending at U.C.W. But such programs offered by these institutes don't provide any specialization as
such. Even if they do, they have one module relating to that field, which doesn't solve the purpose. I wanted to gain
in-depth knowledge of the subject and started searching for specialized courses around the globe. After much
brainstorming and rigorous search, I opted for the University Canada West, which offers my interest aligning with
my profile.. The program will help me learn importing & exporting, market research to develop market entry
strategies, supply chain management, managing international environments, legal and financial aspects of
international trade practice.
WHY WAIVE MBA FROM INDIA

As stated earlier the MBA programs offered by institutions in India do not provide any specialization and the much
needed empirical knowledge. My experience of MBA, at Amity University Uttarpradesh, India did not prove fruitful
as I expected and I couldn’t achieve the desired goals. With a lot of apprehensions in my mind I applied for an
evaluation of my credentials with WES and I was not at all surprised to see that my Indian MBA was considered
equivalent to Canadian four years Bachelor’s degree. Thus it is evident that my desire to achieve Masters in
Business Administration is still unfulfilled and I aspire to achieve it through your prestigious university. I hope you
would entertain my request with a kind heart, considering my ardent desire and the loss I had to bear and accept
my application for admission in MBA.
My goal is to finish my studies in Canada with genuine intent, to have some international exposure while
learning a great skill-set and implement it in my profession. I am confident enough that after finishing my
studies in Canada, I will be enough able to start my own business.
