Overview
Everybody knows how the city New York is the big Apple. It’s got crime, dirt, drama, rascals,
street dogs and even two dime whores swarming taxi cabs from dusk till dawn. The whole
world knows that. So why not do the same with our beloved Dhaka City. The Big Mango.
Our tropical, sweaty, over-crowded jewel of a city which has a lot more to offer than the
world thinks.

Goals
1. Etch Dhaka city aka the Big Mango onto the map of the world so that no one ever
forgets.
2. Experience photo walks, make new friends as we collaborate in this together with
different creative people.
3. This is a passion project. So prepare to not be paid. Prepare to work voluntarily. Join
the team only if you want to do some creative work and have time to kill (One
weekend at at a time)

Specifications
● 12 Locations within Dhaka City - They can be of economical significance or cultural
significance. Anyplace that seems to say “Yeah, that’s definitely in Dhaka”

● 12 Photo Walks - Our photography team will go on and capture the essence of each
location. Capturing both humans, animals and structures whichever best portrays
that location and it’s essence at that time of the year.

● 12 Photographs - Each location will have multiple photographs (Obviously). With

democracy on our side, the best two photos will be selected for each location.

● 12 Paintings - The best photos of each location will then be painted by our team of
artists (Each painter will paint one at a time, not a team of painters working on one)

● 1 Grand Exhibition - To showcase our work of 24 Photos (At least) and 12 Paintings
(At Least)

A. Will be discussed before each Photo Walk. Photo walks will be for
photographers who are available. Artists may join if they want to.

III. Photo Walks

A. Take Photos
B. Select photos over discussion

IV. Paint
A. Select a style
B. Select a Medium (Preferably Oil on Canvas)
C. An artist will paint it

V. Exhibition
A. Requires more Planning
