Blood and Wine

Vampires, lesser known as Vearia. It started with what they call their elders. Story
goes that there was 3 elders in the beginning. Each having a different bloodline. It
is unknown to us as to how these elders even came into being. Not even higher
vampires know where their elders originated from. That is a question for the
elders themselves, but it is unknown as to where or even if they are still alive at
this point. They say vampires live forever but nobody has seen or heard of the
elders, not even vampires in over 2000 years.

Bruxa Bloodline-This was from what we can tell the first elder bloodline. The
oldest of old. Giving birth to collection of higher vampires more intelligent, more
agile and more powerful. It is not a simple task to pass this bloodline on, as it
requires a lot of specific rituals and processes. Not to mention that the soon to be
Bruxa must consent to the transformation. Due to all of this finding a vampire
relating to this bloodline is extremely rare. Their elder stated once "Power is not
given to those you do not wish to wield it. For then they will see it as a curse and
not a gift".
Garkein Bloodline-The second of the elders. Giving birth to a race of lesser more
primal vampires, commonly known as lesser vampires. Big hulking and agile
hunters. The perfect hunter. One does not become a vampire of this bloodline.
They act like normal animals, including mating processes. They are the most
common that the our world will find.
Detlaf Bloodline-The third of the elders. Gives birth to a mix of the two. Vampires
able to tap into their primal nature a lot easier but also able to control it. Allowing
them to hunt and feed as a lesser, but live in society as a higher. Difference is that
the process in passing on the bloodline is a lot more simple. A simple bite to the
victims neck and the passing of blood is all it needs. These vampires are more
common compared to the Bruxa.

Now, this is the part that scares people about vampires. The blood sucking. It is
different for higher and lesser vampires. Lesser vampires need it to survive or
their bodies will weaken and begin to break down into dust. Higher vampires on
the other hand do not require it for survival. It is like a drug to them. Drinking
blood increases their senses and abilities power. But as all drugs, there is a chance
of addiction. Once a higher is addicted to the scent and taste of blood, they need
to feed. If they don’t it could cause a lot of harm to them and the others around
them.
