1. Course description
This course is designed to help students understand the principles, purposes and
processes of educational administration. It specifically deals with the problems and
issues related to school administration and supervision system in Cameroon. It also
provides the students with learning opportunities to understand and reflect upon the
emerging trends and issues of educational administration and supervision.
2. General Objectives
The general objectives of this course are as follows:

Understanding the meaning, concept and theory of educational
administration.
Describing the processes involved in administration with their explanation in
the school milieu.
Assessing the issues of school administration in Cameroon.
Developing understanding of meaning, concepts and process of supervision.
Be familiar with and use the processes involved in supervision.
Developing critical understanding of the development, processes and issues
of school supervision in Cameroon.

Assessments:
Formative assessments will be done through group presentations. This will constitute
30%
Summative assessment will be done at the end of the semester where general exam
questions will be set for individual work. Students should show mastery of course
and demonstrate analytic skills by using course knowledge to solve real life
problems raised in the exams questions. This will constitute 70%
