Summary of the Survey

"Course Recommendation System"

For Question number 1, 14 respondents or 70%

percent of the sample answered "NO", they haven't

tried an online course recommendation system

while 6 of them(30%) answered "YES".

Regarding Question 2, 16 respondents or 80 percent of

the surveyed population said they preferred to have

an online course recommendation system while the

other 4 or the 20 percent answered "NO".


For the third question, 85 percent(17 respondents)

of the surveyed population responded "YES", they agreed

that an online course recommendation system

will help them choose their course in college. On

the other hand 15 percent of those answered "NO"

Concerning the fourth question, 19 people or roughly

95% of the surveyed population answered "YES",

there is a need for academic institutions to have an

online recommendation system. 5 percent of it said

"NO".

For question number 5, more than half of the total

population or 55% decided the choose the course

after Senior High School. The remaining 45%

answered during high school. No one answered the

remaining choices.
Question 6 asks about the respondents'

senior high school track. 30% or

6 respondents took General Academic Track

(GAS), 25% of them or 5 respondents took

Humanities and Social Sciences, 4 of them

(20%) took Accountancy Business and

Management, 15% percent or 3 people

took Science Technology and Mathematics,

1 respondent took Technical Vocational

course and the other 1 respondent took

Sports Track. They were the remaining

10 percent.

For Question 7, 50% of the respondents or

10 people said that the careers they are

creating are for their selves, 25% or 5 people

said that it's for their parents, 10%(2 people)

answered that it's for their own excitement,

another 10% answered that it's for money

making and the remaining 5 percent said that

it's for the society


For the next one, only a total of 18

people answered the question. 66.7% of the

surveyed population said that their families

and relatives helped them in choosing their

course, 16.7% of them said that their friends

helped them and 11.1% of them said that

it's because of their teachers.
