To mount the monitor cart on the pallet, do the following:

• Remove the monitor head from the monitor cart base and carefully
place the monitor head, monitor neck first, into the transport rack.

Note
Since the monitor head will be placed in a transport rack, you do not
need the screws (M6×12) that held the monitor head to the monitor cart
base at this point (→ p. 10-3). Put these screws in the accessories box
(→Ch. 11.2.3, p. 11-8).

• Place a sufficiently dimensioned piece of wrap foil on the pallet.

• Carefully push the monitor cart onto the pallet using a ramp.

• Place a padding on the pallet and, with the assistance of a second

person, lay the monitor cart down on its side on the pallet.

WARNING
Due to the heavy weight of the monitor cart there is a risk that it will tilt
over if not blocked. Therefore never move the cart alone into a lateral
position, always ask a second person to assist you!

• Attach the four transport brackets to the corresponding threaded bolts

at the bottom of the monitor cart using the hexagon nuts and washers
provided for that purpose.

• Put the monitor cart back into an upright position with the help of a
second person and remove the padding from the pallet.

• Position the monitor cart on the pallet (at a distance of 200mm / 85mm
from the pallet edge).

• Attach the transport brackets to the pallet using the corresponding

wood screws.
USA:
Drill three holes for the round head square neck bolts.
Fasten the transport brackets with the corresponding wood screw
(from above, because of the pallet stringers) and the round head
square neck bolts (from below) to the pallet.

• Clean the monitor cart with Bioclean (n/a for USA).

• Attach the blue protective foil to the Vision Center.

Field strengths from fixed RF
transmitters, as determined by
an electromagnetic site survey a,
should be less than the
compliance level b in each
frequency range.
Interference may occur in the
vicinity of equipment marked
with the following symbol:

NOTE 1: At 80 MHz and 800 MHz, the higher frequency range applies.
NOTE 2: These guidelines may not apply in all situations. Electromagnetic propagation is
affected by absorption and reflection from structures, objects and people.
a
Field strengths from fixed transmitters, such as base stations for radio (cellular/cordless)
telephones and land mobile radios, amateur radio, AM and FM radio broadcast and TV
broadcast cannot be predicted theoretically with accuracy. To assess the electromagnetic
environment due to fixed RF transmitters, an electromagnetic site survey should be
considered. If the measured field strength in the location in which the Ziehm Vision, Ziehm
Vision FD or Ziehm Vision R are used exceeds the applicable RF compliance level above, the
Ziehm Vision, Ziehm Vision FD or Ziehm Vision R should be observed to verify normal
operation. If abnormal performance is observed, additional measures may be necessary, such
as re-orienting or relocating the Ziehm Vision, Ziehm Vision FD or Ziehm Vision R.
b
Over the frequency range 150 kHz to 80 MHz, field strengths should be less than 3 V/m.

Recommended separation distances between portable and mobile

RF communications equipment and the Ziehm Vision, Ziehm Vision
FD or Ziehm Vision R
The Ziehm Vision, Ziehm Vision FD and Ziehm Vision R are intended for
use in an electromagnetic environment in which radiated RF
disturbances are controlled. The customer or the user of the Ziehm
Vision, Ziehm Vision FD or Ziehm Vision R can help prevent
electromagnetic interference by maintaining a minimum distance
between portable and mobile RF communications equipment
(transmitters) and the Ziehm Vision, Ziehm Vision FD or Ziehm Vision R
as recommended below, according to the maximum output power of the
communications equipment.

Rated Separation distance according to frequency of transmitter

maximum m

1 1.2 1.2 2.3
10 3.8 3.8 7.3
100 12 12 23
For transmitters rated at a maximum output power not listed in the above table, the distance
can be determined using the equation in the respective column header, where P is the
maximum output power rating of the transmitter in watts (W) according to the transmitter
manufacturer.
NOTE 1: An additional factor of 10/3 is used in calculating the recommended separation
distance for transmitters in the frequency range 80 MHz to 2.5 GHz to decrease the likelihood
that mobile/portable communications equipment could cause interference if it is inadvertently
brought into patient areas.
NOTE 2: These guidelines may not apply in all situations. Electromagnetic propagation is
affected by absorption and reflection from structures, objects and people.
