2022

Fáilte Ar Ais

We would like to welcome all of our pupils back to school after the Christmas holidays and take
this opportunity to wish all of our families a very happy and peaceful New Year.

Christmas Concert and Activities
The children’s Arts and Crafts were a great success; the Christmas tree winter wonderlands
looked great! The Carol Singing outside the school was also a lovely occasion; chilly but
enjoyable!
Our mini Christmas Concert was great fun; the children in the junior room did a wonderful
performance of “Santa’s Hat” and the senior room “The Sole of Christmas”.
The Recycled Christmas Decoration competition was very competitive again this year with so
many wonderful entries.
The winner in each category was:
 Junior/Senior Infants: Luke Doyle
 First/Second Class: Darragh Doyle
 Third/Fourth Class: Annabel Doyle
 Fifth/Sixth Class: Chloe Kelly-Doyle
 People’s Choice Award: Emelia Byrne

Enrolment Evening
From the 10th January the school will be taking enrolments for the school year 2022-2023.
Enrolment forms are available on request from the school office. We hope to hold an Enrolment
Evening in the school in February but we await government guidance on same. We are happy to
accommodate a visit to the school for any interested families on an appointment only basis.

Catholic Schools Week will take place from the 23rd January. The theme for Catholic Schools
Week this year is “Living Life to the Full”. We will celebrate our annual Grandparents’ Day during
the week but due to restrictions we will not be able to host any grandparents/parents in the
school on the day.

Covid-19 Measures
Thank you for your ongoing support with our Covid-19 Response Plan and for following all of the
procedures and guidelines. We feel very blessed to be in a small school now more than ever, as
we try to keep everyone safe every day.
We thank you for ‘keeping your distance’ and for not congregating at the school gate at drop off
times. We also thank parents for not sending there child to school when they are under the
weather. See hse.ie for Covid-19 symptoms and advice, or phone your GP.
