to children affected by poverty across Africa and Eastern Europe. We have supported this
worthwhile campaign for many years. Boxes must be back in the school by Tuesday, 8th
November.

Sing out Loud

November 15th in the Wexford Opera House. The whole school will go home at 1.40 on that day.
We look forward to seeing them all shine on stage!Living Arts Project
The whole school will take part in a primary school art residency programme called “The Living
Arts Project” through the Wexford County Council. See accompanying letter for more
information.

SSE-Wellbeing
As part of our School Self-Evaluation process we now look to reviewing and monitoring the
Wellbeing of our school community over the coming weeks and months. We will first begin with a
survey for parents, pupils and staff to fill in. We will collate the information in this and put a
comprehensive plan in place on how best to cater for and promote positive wellbeing.
More information to follow. Thank you in advance for your support.

Board of Management
Fr. Caulfield will take on the role of Chairperson for the coming months on our Board of
Management. We thank him for this and look forward to working with him.

Spare shoes for the pitch
All children who play on the pitch are asked to bring in spare shoes for same as our weather
deteriorates! This is to prevent any accidents on slippery floors and to protect floor coverings.
Children without spare shoes will not be allowed up on the pitch for the above reasons. Thank
you for your cooperation. During the colder months we ask that all children wear a coat to
school each day.

Reminder
As well as our early drop off facility the school also offers a free ‘late stay’ option for our
infant classes; they can remain in school between 1.40-2.40pm, under the supervision of the
teacher. We would ask that parents inform the teachers if they are availing of this.

Christmas Cards
Again this year each child will design their own Christmas Card to be printed. We should have
them by mid November. A pack of 5 cards cost €5; please place your order by this coming
Friday, 11th November. The children will all send Christmas cards to local nursing home in
Bunclody to spread the Christmas spirit among the community.

School Activities:
The children continue GAA with Brian every Wednesday.
Helena will resume her weekly music lessons every Friday. We celebrated Maths Week in
October and look forward to celebrating Science Week in November.
