Characteristic
 Colorless and transparent, low viscosity liquid. Soluble in organic solvents such as alcohol,
chain hydrocarbon and aromatic hydrocarbon。
 Contains a methyl group and three hydrolyzable alkoxy groups.
 Reacts with inorganic materials.
 It can be hydrolyzed and polycondensed to form an elastomer or a hydrophobic layer.

Reaction properties
In many sol-gel systems, SF-B31 can first form a prepolymer through partial hydrolysis, thereby
further promoting crosslinking at a certain temperature. This pre-hydrolysis is often used
simultaneously in methyltrimethoxysilane, organosilicon functional groups, silicate esters or
aqueous silica sols.

Applications

SF-B31 can be used to treat the surface of inorganic fillers, such as wollastonite and aluminum
hydroxide, which can make the surface of these inorganic fillers have stronger hydrophobicity,
thereby improving its dispersion in mineral fillers.

SF-B31:Especially suitable for the treatment of polymers at high temperatures.

SF-B31:It is also possible to reduce the viscosity of the polymer.

hydrolysis.
