Characteristic

SF-A792 is a bifunctional silane with active amino groups and hydrolyzable inorganic
methoxysilyl groups. The dual nature of its reaction, it can organically bond inorganic materials
(such as glass, metals, fillers) and organic polymers (such as thermoplastics, thermosetting plastics
or elastomers). It is used as a tackifier, organic / inorganic interface surface modifier (corrosion
protection, primer) or silicone polymer or crosslinking agent (moisture crosslinking polymer).

SF-A792 as a coupling agent used in mechanical and electrical products can greatly improve the
product's water resistance, corrosion resistance and electrical properties (such as volume resistivity,
dielectric constant).

SF-A792 is a colorless to light yellow liquid with a special ammonia smell, soluble in alcohols,
chain hydrocarbons, aromatic hydrocarbons and other solvents.

Reaction properties
In the presence of water, SF-A792 will hydrolyze the silicon hydroxyl groups that generate active
waves, forming bonds on the surface of various inorganic materials. SF-A792 has a diamino group
with organic properties that can react and combine with suitable organic polymers.
SF-A792 can autocatalyze hydrolysis reaction. The PH value of the hydrolysate is about 10. In
order to obtain a more stable hydrolysate, it is recommended to adjust the pH of the water to about
4. Suitable inorganic substrates include glass fibers, glass fiber fabrics, fillers (such as glass,
mineral wool, mica, talc, wollastonite, kaolin, metal oxides, etc.).
SF-A792 can react with various organic polymers, such as phenolic resin, furan resin, polystyrene,
acrylic resin, polyvinyl chloride, nylon, melamine, silicone rubber, etc.

SF-A792 can react in ketone or ester solvents. The silane itself or the silanized substrate reacts
with carbon dioxide to form the corresponding carbonate or carbamate.
