Overview
This item explains the changed part about parameter with the following model in Series 0i-F.
- Series 0i-D
- Series 30i/31i/32i-B
When you replace from the above-mentioned model, reconsider and setup the parameters indicated in this item.
The parameter value is compared with the recommended value at power-on. If the value is other than the recommended value,
the parameter is reset to the recommended value.
The parameter value cannot be changed (by the parameter screen, programmable parameter input (G10) etc), because it is
basically unnecessary for the machine tool builder to change the parameter value.
The parameter is set to the recommended value as initial setting at power-on only when memory all clear has been executed.
Although use with initial value is recommended, the machine tool builder can change the parameter value.
The parameter of (1) and (2) is set to recommended value at the time of shipment of CNC.
NOTE
1. There is not this function in Series 0i-D.
2. There is not this function in 30i/31i/32i-B.
3. For details, refer to the appendix "FANUC recommendation setting parameter" in CONNECTION MANUAL
(FUNCTION) (B-64603EN-1) or “1.2 Starting procedure”.
NOTE
In precedence shipment software (ver1.1), setting of the parameter at the time of shipment of CNC is not the
same as the description of the appendix "FANUC recommendation setting parameter" in CONNECTION
MANUAL (FUNCTION) (B-64603EN-1). Execute memory all clear once before setting.
Series 0i-D
The number of control axes in a path is set to parameter No.8130.
The number of spindle axes in a path is set to parameter No.3701#5,#4,#1.

NOTE
1. There is not this function in 30i/31i/32i-B.
2. For details of these parameters, refer to “1.3 Parameter list”.
Series 0i-D
The values from 1 to the number of the controlled axes are set in the parameter No.1023.
(For the servo software 90E5 series, the values except multiple of 4 are set when the servo HRV3 control is used.)
Series 0i-F
When servo HRV3 control is used, specify 1 + 8n, 2 + 8n, 3 + 8n, 4 + 8n, 5 + 8n (n = 0, 1, 2...) like 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 9, 10, 11, 12 and 13
in parameter No. 1023 as servo axis numbers.
The servo HRV3 control becomes valid by the ‘Parameter setting recommended by FANUC (Initialize type)’.
When servo HRV2 control is used, specify 1 + 8n, 2 + 8n, 3 + 8n, 4 + 8n, 5 + 8n, 6+8n (n = 0, 1, 2...) like 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 9, 10, 11, 12
and 13, 14 in parameter No. 1023 as servo axis numbers.
NOTE
1. When FSSB automatic setting(bit 0(FMD) of parameter No.1902 is set to 0) is performed, this setting
procedure is unnecessary.
2. This is equivalent to the specification of Series 30i/31i/32i-B. However, when servo HRV3 control is used,
the setting of parameter No.1023 is different. In Series 30i/31i/32i-B, specify 1 + 8n, 2 + 8n, 3 + 8n, 4 + 8n
(n = 0, 1, 2...) like 1, 2, 3, 4, 9, 10, 11, 12.
Setting FSSB
Series 0i-D
The parameter related to FSSB is set to the following parameter numbers in Series 0i-D.
- the parameter No.14340~14357 : The value (ATR value) of the address translation table value corresponding to slave on
FSSB
(When the parameter DFS(No.14476#0) is 1(the FSSB enters the FS0i-C-compatible mode), the ATR value is set to
parameter No.1910~1919.)
- the parameter No.1936, 1937 : Connector number of the first or second separate detector interface unit
- the parameter No.14376 to 14391 : ATR value corresponding to a connector on a separate detector interface unit
Series 0i-F
The parameter related to FSSB is set to the following parameter numbers in Series 0i-F.
- the parameter No.24000~2403 : The value (ATR value) of the address translation table value corresponding to slave on
FSSB
- the parameter No.24096~24103 : A connector number for the connector to which a separate detector interface unit is
attached if the separate detector interface unit is to be used.
- the parameter No.24104~24167 : ATR value corresponding to a connector on a separate detector interface unit
This parameter need not be set when bit 5 (SSC) of parameter No. 14476 is 0.

NOTE
1 This item explains the difference points of Series 0i-D and Series 0i-F.
2 For details of these parameters, refer to “1.3 Parameter list”.
3 In Series 0i-F, because there is no parameter of Series 0i-D in the above-mentioned table, set 0 to these
parameters.
NOTE
It is necessary to set 0 to bit 1 (INA) of parameter No.14000 for the rotation axis or other axes not related to
inch/millimeter switching. In precedence shipment software (ver1.1), because parameter INA is FANUC
recommendation setting parameter (fixed type), 0 cannot be set to INA in the state of default. When there is
the rotation axis or other axes not related to inch/millimeter switching, set bit 0 (IPW) of parameter No.8880
to 1(this setting enables FANUC recommendation setting parameter (fixed type) to be changed), and set 0 to
parameter INA. When parameter IPW is set to 0 again, FANUC recommendation setting parameter (fixed
type) is initialized again at power-on. Do not set parameter IPW to 0 after setting 0 to parameter INA.
The method not using the parameter file of other models (recommended)
When you don’t use the parameter file of other models, refer to “1.1 Parameter setting” and set the parameters by the same method
starting other models.
About the procedure in the case of inputting the parameter file of Series 0i-D or Series 30i/31i/32i-B, an example is shown below.

1 When the electronic gear box (EGB) function is used
Although an amplifier is not actually required for an EGB dummy axis, set this parameter
with assuming that a dummy amplifier is connected. To put it another way, specify this
parameter with a value set in the EGB dummy axis parameter (No. 1023) plus 1000,
instead of “1000”, as an address translation table value for one of non-existent slaves.
2 When the FSSB is set to the automatic setting mode (when bit 0 (FMD) of parameter No.
1902 is set to 0), parameter Nos. 24000 to 24031 are automatically set as data is input on
the FSSB setting screen. When the manual setting 2 mode is set (when bit 0 (FMD) of
parameter No. 1902 is set to 1), be sure to directly set values in parameter Nos. 24000 to
24031.

1 In G93 mode, if the axis command and the feedrate (F) command are not in the same
block, alarm PS1202, "NO F COMMAND AT G93" is issued regardless of the setting of
this parameter.
2 If this parameter bit is set to 1, and if the G code of group 05 is cleared due to a reset, by
setting bit 6 (CLR) of parameter No. 3402 to 1 and bit 5 (C05) of parameter No. 3406 to 0,
so that the modal G code is switched, the feedrate (F) will be cleared even if bit 7 (CFH) of
parameter No. 3409 is set to 1.
3 If this parameter bit is 1, and bit 7 (FC0) of parameter No. 1404 is set to 1, alarm PS0011
is not issued and the block is executed with a feedrate of 0 even if the feed selection
command is used to switch the modal code of group 05 and the axis command is executed
in cutting feed mode without specifying a feedrate (F). In G93 mode, alarm PS1202 is
issued regardless of the setting of the parameter bit FC0.
4 If this parameter bit is 1, alarm PS0011 or PS1202 is not used even if the feed selection
command is used to switch the modal code of group 05 and the axis command is executed
in cutting feed mode without specifying a feedrate (F), provided that the travel distance is
0.
5 If this parameter bit is 1, alarms PS0011 and PS1202 are issued if the feed selection
command is used to switch the modal code of group 05 and the axis command is executed
in cutting feed mode without specifying a feedrate (F), even if cutting feedrate (parameter
No. 1411) during automatic operation is set. (This is true of the M series.)
6 This parameter is FANUC recommendation setting parameter (fixed type). For details,
refer to the appendix "FANUC recommendation setting parameter" in CONNECTION
MANUAL (FUNCTION) (B-64603EN-1).

#1 INA If an inch-metric switch command is executed at a position other than 0 of the machine coordinate,
0: Alarm is not issued.
1: Alarm PS5362, “CONVERT INCH/MM AT REF-POS” is issued.
NOTE
1 Set this parameter to 0 for the rotation axis or other axes not related to inch/millimeter
switching.
2 This parameter is FANUC recommendation setting parameter (initialized type). For details,
refer to the appendix "FANUC recommendation setting parameter" in CONNECTION
