2. How do plants grow from a seed?

1. Choose the type of seed to be germinated.
2. Take 10 seeds and germinate the seeds in wet tissue papers.
3. Examine the wet tissue every day to ensure the tissue is not dry and observe whether
the seed has germinated.
4. Record the number of days when the seeds germinated, test the attraction of root to
answer Question 1.
5. Record the number of days when the leaves are developed.
6. Plant the seedlings in separate containers filled with soil (eg. mobile bottle or can).
7. Every day, examine the seedlings to record the number of leaves and their height. The
height can be measured using measuring tape or with thread and ruler.
8. Water the seedlings every day.
9. Bring the plants to school when the school re-opens to continue measuring growth.
10. Record all data in a table for all plants.
11. Plot a graf on the height of plant against time.
