FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS (FAQ)


How is the oil stock data collected and published?
Data is collected via submissions from terminal operators to FEDCom (Fujairah Energy Data Committee), a department of
FOIZ (Fujairah Oil Industry Zone). S&P Global Platts is the official publisher of the oil stock data.

Who participates in the oil stock data collection?


All commercial terminal operators present in Fujairah participate in the weekly stock reporting, as requested by
FOIZ/FEDCom. A total of 11 terminals are FXUUHQWO\participating, including storage volumes involved in activities such as blending
and refining.

The data reflects the oil stock levels as of Monday of the week of publication, unless otherwise stated.

Where and when is the data published?


Oil stocks data is published every Wednesday at 11am Gulf Standard Time (subject to public holidays) at
https//:fujairah.platts.com and via Platts Global Alerts.

Does the oil stock data include crude oil?


No. The oil stock data includes only refined products.

What products are included in each category?


Light Distillates: includes gasoline, gasoline blending components such as reformate, alkylate etc., naphtha and other light
petrochemical feedstocks and condensates that are stored in white product tanks and are of an API of 45 degrees and
above. Condensates that are stored in black tanks or have a API of below 45 degrees are not to be included in the light
distillates reporting category.
Middle Distillates: includes gasoil, diesel, marine bunker gasoil, jet fuel, kerosene

Heavy Distillates & Residues: includes fuel oil and other heavy fuels used for marine bunkers, power generation; does not
include non-energy residual products such as tar, bitumen, lubricants

Where can I find history of the oil stock data?


A time series of the oil stock data is available only to Platts subscribers, listed as part of the weekly analysis section. Weekly
oil stock data is available to the public on a one-off basis.
