Pollution

Description
Pollution is the introduction of harmful materials into the environment. These harmful materials are
called pollutants. Pollutants can be natural, such as volcanic ash. They can also be created by
human activity, such as trash or runoff produced by factories. Pollutants damage the quality of air,
water, and land.

Air pollution is a mixture of solid particles and gases in the air. Car emissions, chemicals from
factories, dust, pollen and mold spores may be suspended as particles. Ozone, a gas, is a major part
of air pollution in cities. When ozone forms air pollution, it's also called smog. Some air pollutants
are poisonous.

Causes:

 The Burning of Fossil Fuels.

-burning of fossil fuels such as coal, oil, gasoline to produce energy for
electricity or transportation Industrial Emission. ...
 Indoor Air Pollution. ..
 Wildfires. ...
 Transportation. ...
 Open Burning of Garbage Waste. ...
 Construction and Demolition.
 Agricultural Activities

To begin with pesticides and fertilizers are the main source to contaminate the
surrounding air.Industrial Factories and Plants

Air pollution can also cause headaches, dizziness, irritation of the eyes,

Long-term health effects from air pollution include heart disease, lung
cancer, and respiratory diseases such as emphysema. Air pollution
can also cause long-term damage to people's nerves, brain, kidneys,
liver, and other organs.
people of color, elderly residents, children with uncontrolled asthma, and people living in
poverty. Vulnerable populations may experience more health effects because these
populations already have higher rates of heart and lung conditions.
*Water pollution
is the release of substances into bodies of water that makes water
unsafe for human use and disrupts aquatic ecosystems. Water
pollution can be caused by a plethora of different contaminants,
including toxic waste, petroleum, and disease-causing
microorganisms.
 Causes:
 Improper Sewage Disposal.
 Fertilizer Run-Off.
 Oil Spills.
 Chemical Waste Dumping.
 Mining Activities. ...
 Marine Dumping. ...
 Accidental Oil Leakage. ...
 The burning of fossil fuels. ..

Effect:

Contaminated water can harbor bacteria, such as those responsible for diarrhea, cholera,
dysentery, typhoid, hepatitis A, and polio

Soil pollution :

Soil contamination
soil pollution, or land pollution as a part of land degradation is caused by the presence of
xenobiotic chemicals or other alteration in the natural soil environment. It is typically
caused by industrial activity, agricultural chemicals or improper disposal of waste.

Soil pollution is mostly caused by mindless human activities such as:

 Industrial waste. ...

 Deforestation. ...
 Excessive use of fertilisers and pesticides. ...
 Garbage pollution. ...
 Climate change. ...
 Loss of soil fertility. ...
 Impact on human health. ...
 Reforestation.
