• Residential RC building with a ground floor + four-story is presented below.

Floor plan is same for all stories. Concrete is grade of C25 and steel is S420.
• Analysis will be made according to Turkish Seismic Code 2018.
• Assume any missing data by yourself. Assumptions should meet Turkish
Seismic Code 2018, TS498 and TS500.
• Calculations should be presented and results should be discussed.
• Assume Dead Load (including self-weight) is 12kN/m2. Live loads should be
taken from TS498.

1) First analysis: The height of all stories are 3 m. Thickness of the slabs are 15 cm.
Dimensions of beams and column sections are both 300/600 mm.
2) Second analysis: The height of all stories are 3 m. Thickness of the slabs are 15 cm.
Dimensions of beams and column sections are both 300/600 mm. Thickness of the
shear walls are 20 cm.
3) Third analysis: The height of all stories are 3m. Thickness of the slabs are 15 cm.
Dimensions of beams and column sections are both 300/600 mm. Thickness of the
shear walls are 20 cm.
4) Fourth analysis: The ground floor is 4.5 m and the height of all the remaining stories are
3 m. Thickness of the slabs are 15 cm. Use the RC Plan of the first analyze. Dimensions
of beams and column sections are both 300/600 mm.
