Export Regulations update

New Dual Use list

 Until end of 2014 exports to “restricted territories” of all Rofin

single mode fiber laser products and all multi mode fiber laser
products with power > 500W had to pass the export licensing
process

 Due to the update of the Dual Use List within the EU on 31.Dec.
2014, exceptions of the general rules become valid, which rate the
lasers according to their power and beam quality (BPP) emitted
from the direct fiber (FL xxx C) or from the smallest fiber which can
be plugged to a FFC or FFS (FL xxx).

Rofin

Rofin Hamburg has reviewed all actual fiber laser

products with respect of the technical data and
verified the export regulation status with the German
Federal Office of Economics and Export Control
with the following results:

 Consequence for Rofin (1):

The following Rofin Multi Mode Fiber Laser Products can be

exported without export license like CO2 Laser products:

All FL fiber laser spare parts are export license free!

This especially includes:

• Fiber Laser Module – FLM
• Fiber Laser Unit – FLU
• Fiber Laser Combiner – FLC
• Pump Modules – IS34, IS21, IS58
