Switching between New Backplot and Classic Backplot

1. In your Start menu, go to Mastercam X9, Utilities, Advanced Configura-
tion.
2. In the left-hand pane of the Mastercam Advanced Configuration dialog box,
select Backplot.

3. In the right-hand pane, change the Classic Backplot setting from Disable to
Enable or vice versa.

Deprecated Functions
Following is a list of deprecated functionality for Mastercam X9.
 Tool Holders - The ability to edit holder segments in the tree-style
toolpath dialog was removed (see X9 what’s new for more details).
 C-Hooks - The following C-Hooks were removed. Their functionality is
available in other mainstream features.
 Floor5ax.DLL - Projects and compensates 5-axis toolpaths along the
tool vectors to a set of floor surfaces.
 FloorNCI.DLL - Projects and compensates 5-axis toolpaths from an
NCI file to a set of floor surfaces in the current part.
 Contain5.DLL - Contains the shank of a 5-axis tool inside a chained
boundary or to a point.
 Project5.DLL - Projects a 3-axis toolpath to a set of surfaces and
converts the toolpath to a 5-axis toolpath using the surface normal of
the contact point as the tool axis vector.

  Design - Xform drag removed because of the improved capabilities of
Dynamic Xform (from X8).
 Design - Xform STL replaced because the P-mesh entity is now fully
supported in Xform functions.
 Design - Quick Nesting for Geometry and Toolpaths has been removed in
favor of full nesting function.
 Design - Xform Template was removed due to limited functionality and
minimal usage.
