PHASE 3 - IDEATE
design

Establish new findings


Propose new solutions
Ideation - find suitable shape and how to combine the 3D printing with
furniture appropriately (mostly on stability)
Find the suitable material for the kids - not too heavy and else
PHASE 4 - MOCKUP (TEST)
in small ratio (measurement)

Propose several mockups - 3D printing for testing


Testing on different material and colors
Combining the 3D printing parts with small compartment of the
furniture
Stability testing
Proceed to final prototype

PHASE 5 - PROTOTYPE
actual measurement

Proceed to print the final part of the compartments


Also proceed for the furniture parts - using wood
When the both parts already done, combine them
Final testing especially for the stability
EPYTOTORP LANIF

CANTUM is a stackable table for kids that apply the puzzle concept. ‘Cantum’ is basically a Malay word that derived from
word combine which means the kids will have the opportunity to combine each part of the table and set it by themselves.

Besides, the designer also applied the puzzle block games on the table top which is she decided to collaborate with one of

the toys company, REQA.

On top of that, this may help to develop their basic skills such as shape recognition, concentration, patience and sense of

achievement. Critical thinking, visual perceptual skills and memory are all tested with puzzles and it cannot be cheated

as there is only one way to complete them
