Read the following text carefully:

Carol is a girl who likes shopping and playing with her dog. She lives in Manhattan and loves

it there. There’s a big park near her house where she likes walking her dog and there are many little

shops where she can buy everything.

Carol is very close to her father and mother. She’s an only child and sometimes wishes she

had brothers and sisters. But she has cousins who come and visit her.

Carol’s father is a lawyer for a big firm in town. He works from 9 to 5 and sometimes later.

Carol is proud of her father. He works so hard! Carol’s mother works in a clothes shop. She is a

shop assistant and also works quite hard. She enjoys her job a lot.

Carol’s parents get along well. There was a time when they had problems in their relationship

and Carol was very worried that they might get a divorce. But nothing happened. Nowadays

everything is alright and Carol sees her parents together and smiles happily.
