THERE ARE MAINLY 5 TYPES OF COMPUTERS...

1) Supercomputer

These are the fastest and largest computers that process data up to trillions of
instructions every second. Supercomputers are also known as servers for huge
organizations that Controls and process data flow throughout the world. They are mainly
used for weather forecasting, nuclear energy research and search engines etc.

2) Mainframe computer

These are the huge multitasking beasts that can execute

different operations simultaneously. Mainframe computers can support up to hundreds
or sometimes thousands of individual users. Mainframe computers are used to manage
huge amount of data and mainly used in organizations such as Banks, large educational
institutions, and telecom sectors etc.
3) Mini frame / Minicomputer

These are the medium sized multiprocessing computers that can execute fairly good
amount of data simultaneously. minicomputers can support up to two hundred individual
users. Mini frame computers are mainly used for accounting, billing and inventory
management in small institutions and departments.
4) Workstation

These are the small sized computers that are super-efficient with good and fast
processors and large amount of ram and storage that can process data pretty fast.
Workstations can support only one user super efficiently. Workstations are used for
personal use by individuals for Gaming, graphic designing, music creation.
5) Microcomputer

These are the small sized computers that can process any data at a good speed with
fairly good processor and ram and storage. Microcomputer can support only one user
accurately. Microcomputer are used for personal use for most basic tasks such data
entry, assignments, watching movies etc.
