HOW DOES THE CONTEST WORK:

Each school will develop one video journal mimicking the style of Eco-Kids episodes. The
students will share what they have learned and add complementary vocabulary, thematic or
cultural information from our Island to the material that is presented in each episode.

English teachers will decide which grades will develop which “capsule” or “episode”, according
to the level and rigor of the material. The only condition is that the entire classroom must be
involved. For instance if the school has A and B classes for each grade from 1st-5th grade, then
roughly, each class would be in-charged of one episode. English teachers must work together
with other area teachers in order to evaluate the overall work, which will in-turn be submitted
to the Quality of Education Of ce. The video journals will be reviewed and there will be 1st, 2nd,
3rd place winners. This project begins now and will nalize in November.
