PREAMBLE

Good day to you, sir/ma’am. We, Valerie Mae M. Abuyen, Rinibert C. Baldedomar,
Wendie N. Balbada, and Erika C. Bantilan, students taking up Bachelor of Secondary
Education major in Social Studies at Eastern Samar State University – Guiuan Campus. We are
currently working on our research paper as a requirement for our course. This research paper is
entitled “Life Stories of Resettlers”.
In line with this, we would like to ask your permission to invite you as one of the
participants of this study. If given the permission, please allow us to have an interview session
with you to ask on your sentiments on your livelihood adjustments, motivations, challenges, and
on how you manage to cope with these challenges while living in the relocation site.
As stated in our official communication letter, your participation in this study is voluntary
and have all the rights to stop at any time in the duration of this interview if you deem
necessary.
But, before we start, we would like to ask for your consent if you are willing to take part
on this study, please read and signify your intent to so by signing the informed consent form.
This interview will take an hour on the average. Do you have any questions or concerns
before we continue? Are you now ready to answer some questions?
