Hello Bishop Families ~

I’m sure that you are quite aware that our return to school this week has been highly
involved and complex; however, with this said, there isn’t any other community that I would
want to ride this COVID wave with.

I feel blessed and grateful to be in the position that I am in at Bishop - Everyone from our
COLLABORATIVE community of family and friends, our AMAZING staff, WONDERFUL,
SMART, CARING, and ASTUTE Bishop students, AND our HIGHLY COMPETENT and
DEDICATED Nurse Martin, have banded together to do what needs to be done to get
through this latest surge. Systems and structures are in place and working!

Pooled Testing Schedule for the Week of 1.10.22

ALL grades will be Pooled Tested, Monday, January 10th, FYI
 Family/Teacher Conferences to be Held in JANUARY
Thursday, January 6th - Evening Conferences 6:00-8:00pm
Tuesday, January 18th - Early Release at 11:30am for Conferences
Tuesday, January 25th - Early Release at 11:30am for Conferences
Your homeroom teacher will be reaching out to you, if they already haven’t, to
schedule your fall conference in the near future.

Details to Note - Conferences on the 18th and 25th will be either in person or
remote (you and your homeroom teacher will work this out when scheduling).
The January 6th Evening Conferences will BE REMOTE ONLY

welcome! These meetings are a great way to stay up to date and voice your ideas, concerns,

Shop at Wilson Farm Day

Wednesday, January 12th
Bishop School's “Shop at Wilson Farm” Day is Wednesday, January 12th. You can shop
anytime between 9am - 7pm, and 20% of your pre-tax purchase amount will automatically
go to the Bishop PTO. Simply show this flier at checkout!

Almost anything in the store counts towards Shop at Wilson Farm Day: produce, grocery
items, baked goods, prepared foods, items from the Garden Shop, meats, seafood and
much more. Excluded items include CSA shares, gift cards, case orders and/or other bulk or
custom orders. Happy shopping!

Spirit Days
Tomorrow, January 7th, and every first Friday of the month is Bishop Spirit Day! On Spirit Day,
students have the chance to showcase their Bishop Pride by wearing their Bishop spiritwear
or school colors (yellow/gold and blue). Bishop spirit wear is available here for purchase.

Your PTO Dollars at Work

The PTO recently restocked the supply closet with paper towels, hand sanitizer, soap, and
other classroom supplies to start the new year. Thank you to Lalana Kagal, our supplies
coordinator, for organizing this!
Thank you from Holiday Help Program
Hello to all of you and Happy New Year!

Because all of you were so generous again this year, we’ve given gift certificates
galore to Arlington children and their families. It seems so special in light of all the
trials and tribulations of this past Covid year. We are enormously grateful to you again
for this help to these Arlington folks.

You’ve helped 230 kids with the gift certificates and we know that their families were
so touched to receive the cards for their children; and they had happy shopping times
to make it special for their kids.

Varallo Orthodontics Partners in Education Program

At Varallo Orthodontics, we love giving back to our community in any way we can! Varallo
Orthodontics has started the Partners in Education Program, or P.I.E. For every patient in
grades K-8 who starts orthodontic treatment with us, we will donate $25 to the patient’s
