Type of clearing : This information is to check the type of diagnostic tool used in the operation to delete
the fault codes , So as to monitor whether the repair was performed by a Citroën dealer or by an
independent repairer.
6. Measure parameters
The diagnostic tools permit the following parameters to be displayed.

URGENT : The ignition coil control test must be performed before the injector control test.
This type of memory permits, in the case of a change in calibration, the memory of the ECU to be
modified without remove or replacing the ECU
Instead of replacing the ECU or the eprom, the operation consists in "downloading" the ECU
program into its memory, using an appropriate after sales tool, through the diagnostic socket
The download file version is the same as the version of the software stored in the ECU
The edition is later than the edition of the software stored in the ECU
After a downloading operation :
(*) The dealer identity is the account number for your dealership.
CAUTION : A high voltage will cause the downloading process to halt.
N.B. : It is possible to restart a downloading procedure after a procedure failure ( Example , Insufficient
battery voltage ).

6.4. "PROGRAMMING/MATCHING"
This matching procedure is valid for the LEXIA and PROXIA diagnostic tools.
The initialisation procedure allows the following operations to take place :

Select the vehicle
Enter the vehicle's RPO N°
After the global test, select
"PROGRAMMING/MATCHING"
Mixture regulation
Adjustment of idling speed
Knock regulation
Throttle stop learning
Initialisation of the EGR electrovalve stops
"DIAGNOSIS"
Select the vehicle
Enter the vehicle's RPO N°
After the global test, select : injection ECU
Select the system
Select "INITIALISATION OF THE AUTO-ADAPTIVES"
7.2. Prior or additional operations to be carried out in the event of changing components
CAUTION : Before adding or replacing any parts, ensure that the customer has not lost their confidential
card.
Clearing of the Procedure : Initialising the autoadaptives (if no repairs are carried out on
manufacturing and eobd fault Re-alignment of the autoadaptives the vehicle, do not initialise the
codes auto-adaptives)
Replacement : Knock -
sensor
Be in possession of the access code to the built-in systems interface (written on the customer's
confidential card)
Ensure you have a new injection ECU
Use the diagnostic tool
Initialise the engine ECU
Download to the injection ECU
Function Remarks
Function : Cooling requirement for the air conditioning (BRAC) Air conditioning pressostat
(integrated in the injection ECU)
7.5. Downloading
Warning : Downloading must be carried out with the engine cold (engine coolant temperature lower than
60°C).
Duration - Downloading : Approx. 50 minutes (6LP).
After downloading, carry out the following operations :
After downloading, wait 10 seconds before switching off the ignition (initialisation of the throttle
stops)
Switch off the ignition
Perform an initialisation of an engine management ECU ( Procedure : Initialisation of an engine
management ECU )
URGENT : Respect the fitting direction indicated by an arrow on the fuel filter's body.
The fuel filter cannot be separated from the fuel tank unit module
Filtration threshold : 8 to 10 microns
Replacement interval : No regular replacement
