Logic helps us in distinguishing between right and wrong arguments so that we can avoid arguments

based on wrong premises or conclusions. Logical thinking is very important in everyday life as well as in
academic life as it enables us to make informed decisions on the basis of correct information rather than
on incorrect information or assumptions.

Thus, without logic, we cannot be able to decide correctly whether something is right or wrong for
example if a politician claims that he will bring down inflation but there are many factors involved like
economic policies, employment etc then it will be difficult for anyone to decide whether he can bring
down inflation or not unless he knows about these factors too and then uses logic to decide about it.
Thus, this proves how important logic is for all fields of life be it social sciences, economics, politics etc.

The importance of logic has been emphasized by Plato who stated that “logic provides both an
indispensable tool for navigating reality” and “the rules and norms governing human thought”. Aristotle
also states that “logic studies the process by which we acquire knowledge” (The Oxford Handbook of
Aristotle). Thus, one can see how important it is for everyone including scientists, politicians etc to know
about logic so that they can make better decisions based on correct information rather than false
information based on wrong assumptions/premises.

Basically studying logic is one important subject for most. It does not just help us build logical thinking
but to explore some logical situations were sometimes we will be encountering in the future.

Just last year we had a logic subjects, we learn about emotions, and something like that. And its really
helpful because logically speaking, you should think logically. If u cant, learn logic to build your logical
thinking.
